Over the years I have worked with many people from a variety of backgrounds. What I have found is that the main reason for many people’s difficulties is their real or perceived lack of control over their lives and influence in their relationships. This causes stress which usually results in resentment, anger, depression and anxiety. This leads to a loss of happiness and contentment. To be happy and content with ourselves and our relationships we must have a sense of control and influence in our lives. My objective is to help you regain influence and control over your life, thereby restoring happiness with yourself and your relationships. To accomplish this, I have highly effective tools that help you better understand your issues and problems. Instead of offering meaningless platitudes or paint unrealistic pictures, I focus on your concerns and provide sensible solutions to them.
My ability to get to the causes of the problems that people bring to me, and the satisfaction that my clients express brings me a great deal of pleasure knowing that I have helped them realize their goals in a rapid and efficient manner.
When I was a teenager, both my friends and family noted how I was often able to come up with sensible explanations to questions and solutions to problems that they or others had. As a result, I realized that I had a valuable gift for which I was appreciated. After moving from New Jersey, I began giving seminars in Scottsdale and Phoenix on effective ways to change negative behavior patterns. This led some participants to suggest that I counsel individuals, at which point I began my counseling practice in the Biltmore section of Phoenix.
For over twenty five years I have helped people solve a wide variety of problems. I am proud to include among my clients a number of professional counselors who themselves needed counseling but did not possess the necessary tools to resolve their own issues. In addition, some of them went on to use my approaches, tools and insights in their own practices.

To start off this review, this woman is beyond incredible at her job. I was in a dark place, had nothing going for me in my life and when our consultation took place, it was the start of changing my life. I was in the discover my life purpose program and I chose the sixth month option. How Mrs. Self was to me as a coach is beyond incredible. From helping me find purpose after football, to discovering my real purpose. She's incredible and there is no hesitation about that. To end this review, anyone and everyone should hire this incredible coach. She will take time out of her day to help me with anything and it can be times after our session. She's always there and I'm blessed to call her my coach

She’s a life changer! Before starting with Marcy I was coming out of a rough divorce with children involved. There was many different emotions and feelings that Marcy has worked with me on and has changed my life for the better! My goal was to become an overall better me and not be depressed or negative about life. Within just a few weeks with me being consistent and wanting to put in the work to become a better me, I saw the results! She created a custom program just for me! I knew I was piece of work and she stood in there with me a help me become a better individual overall! She’s helped me become a better father, confident in myself, and gave me hope in life.
