I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist who works with individuals of all ages and various presenting concerns, but I specialize in working with young adults (ages 18-35) who are experiencing mental health, substance use, or life-transitional issues (e.g. beginning college, launching into adulthood, managing relationships, grief/loss, etc.). Drawing from various theories in understanding the roots of suffering and discontentment, I take a non-judgmental, curious, compassionate approach to guiding you to a place of healing and wellness.

I have been a psychotherapist and coach for over 30 years. I draw on my innate intuitive abilities as well as my traditional clinical training to bring guidance and transformation to my clients. My family systems background allows me to see the individual as a multifaceted system. I appreciate that what we often perceive as a “problem” reflects how we have adapted to the stress and trauma that we may have endured.

My therapy practice offers short term individual, family and couples counseling and longer term group work. My focus is on supporting people that come to get help to grow and develop emotionally. My fees are reasbleI want people to be able to access help and be supported.

I am a psychiatrist who treats depression, anxiety, and addiction in addition to other psychiatric problems. I was trained at McLean Hospital, Harvard where I have been on the faculty for over 35 years and am a research associate. I have developed a novel treatment as an adjunct to my in-depth, psychodynamic therapy and medication management, including Suboxone. That treatment is applying to the FDA and NIH and is described in part in my book, Of Two Minds.
