‘19 Certificate of Excellence

My work is about helping clients stop sabotaging themselves and to abandon habits, old experiences and patterns which run counter to a choice driven life. We all have tapes from our past the subconscious mind uses to respond to perceived threat or experience from the past we couldn't deal with very well at the time so it was suppressed/repressed into the files of the subconscious to establish links to the present circumstances and respond with actions, and emotions that do not support our preferred way of response. This all happens without conscious awareness where the subconscious mind doesn't account or analyze the current situations and promotes inappropriate actions even before the conscious mind can respond. What's even more important is the language of the subconscious is not the same the conscious mind uses. So, we use techniques to communicate directly with the subconscious to establish a new, preferred response. Some of the many ways to do that is through Hypnosis, EMDR, Emotion code, Body code, Self-talk, and many other modalities that are then reinforced to become the chosen response by the powerful subconscious mind. - Marvin

What do you love most about your job?

For over 45 years my greatest joy has been leading people to successful endeavors and helping people understand themselves. I am in a place in my life to be able to help people overcome personal conflict. Weather it's smoking or weight or something more such as fear, anxieties, public speaking, confidence, and the list goes on and on. Experiencing the relief clients have as a last hope option touches your soul. I am grateful.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I bought my father out of his own company at 20 years old. I've always desired to be the one in charge. From fixing cars to selling insurance to learning psychology, nutrition, health, neurosciences to how the brain works I have become an eternal student and am fascinated by the techniques on the leading edge of personal change.

Why should our clients choose you?

Besides being a Hypnotist, trainer and Medical Hypnotist I have study and have certifications in over 30 modalities and techniques. I am versed in NLP, EMDR, emotion code, body code, EFT, the psycho-dynamic of energy and so many others. I am an integrative therapist with many techniques to use for healing purposes. I am very straight forward and waste little time in achieving client goals. A rapid response healing is always my goal for a client.

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the hypnotherapist holds.

Your professional hypnotherapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted hypnotherapist today.

Firstly, you'll have a conversation with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree on what methods your therapist will use. Afterwards, the hypnotherapist may lead you into a deeply relaxed state using agreed methods to help you towards your goals. For example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit gradually bring you out of the trance.

You are fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Most people expect to be put to sleep or to forget what happened afterwards but the opposite is true. You're fully aware the whole time of what is happening.

This is dependent on both your hypnotherapist and your circumstances. One-off services such as smoking cessation or gastric band hypnotherapy can last around two hours, while a general hypnotherapy session will usually take about an hour.

The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their hypnotherapy services.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with anxiety, depression, anxiety, PTSD, obesity, addictions, fear of flying, public speaking, stopping smoking, insomnia, weight loss amongst others. When combined with methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), valuable healing work can begin as quickly as one or two sessions.

You might be surprised to hear that hypnotherapy can be delivered remotely over the phone, through an online video chat platform, or with pre-recorded sessions sent by email.
