Gary is fantastic, you can tell he really enjoys what he does and he is great at it! Our dogs, who previously were best buds, had started viciously fighting and we were so upset and SO scared that we were going to have to possibly re-home one or live with them separated, neither of which was an acceptable option for us. We hired Gary to help us, and within days of our first session our dogs were showing definite improvement. Within a week or two, they were back to playing together with minimal issues, and within a couple months they stopped all fighting and are now back to being best buds again!! I can not say enough good things about Gary. I love his techniques and the way he works with the dogs (and the humans). The dogs respond to him incredibly well, which is always a good sign. His methods are intuitive and make sense and are easy to follow. He also models the training and (nicely) corrects you so that you are doing things the right way. Gary is also incredibly personable and we enjoy his sessions and never feel like they are a chore. He has never made us feel guilty for working with our dogs less than we intended to which is really appreciated. As with all training, the end result is going to reflect the work that the owners put in, but I can say that Gary has given us all of the tools and direction we need to train our dogs and we, and our two happy dogs, are very glad that we decided to go with Duke Dog Training/Coaching. I first needed her because my dog was reactive to other dogs in the neighborhood. It was so miserable walking him that I just wouldn’t walk him. Not only did Trena help leash train my dog but she was also able to stop his reactivity. I now can walk him and he does not react to any dog. He actually can now go to dog parks and can take him off leash at parks to play ball and comes back when I call him. What I love most about dog training are the results I bring. Dogs are something I truly understand and bringing people closer to their pup is the best feeling ever. Plus meeting new people and new challenges is definitely something I love going after and accomplishing.
I started dog training by accident. I gotta my friends dog to listen to me and learn everything I taught him and they brought it to my attention that I should try being a dog tinder and here I am lol
I am the trainer to go with because I actually take my jobs seriously and I am guaranteed to bring results no matter what. I have never come across a dog I couldn’t get to follow directions and I’ve had dogs that were aggressive even towards me when I first met them and not socialize at all. Now they play and get song with other dogs just fine. I always hear “my dog has never done that before” and “Thank you so much. You changed our lives” from people that were about to give up and get rid of their dog.
