Howie is great. I love that he doesn’t just tell you what to do, but he educates you on the dog’s brain and how/why his methods work. I know people are hesitant about the choker chain, and sure the pups don’t love it, but they sure do listen and are much safer because of it. We noticed an effect right away with our husky who we couldn’t get to listen with any methods. Howie came in and we have made so much progress in only a few short weeks. We already know we are going to invest in more sessions so our dog can eventually be off leash.
Howie truly is passionate and loves what he does. He even spends a significant amount of time sitting and drinking coffee with us, telling us stories and even takes time to work with our other dog who he had anxiety issues as a recent a rescue.
We couldn’t have asked for a better fit and would recommend Howie to everyone.

Not enough great things to say about Erica Lake! From the minute you meet her you know you've found the right trainer. She quickly assesses the situation, listens to your concerns carefully and develops a plan to get you and your best friend back on the right track. I'm still not sure whether she does a better job of training the owner or the dog but her style, confidence and intuitive sense of the relationship all work together to deliver fantastic results. There's a lot of fakers in the dog training game in LA. She's the real deal. Highly recommended!

There are so many things I love about being a dog trainer. Of course, working with dogs is amazing..but working with dedicated dog owners probably tops the cake! It's also such an amazing thing to see the dogs just GET IT. When they understand a new way of living and not having to feel reactive/aggressive anymore. I can go on and on!
