‘21 Certificate of Excellence

As a prior victim of child abuse and neglect, I have come to learn how to use my own strategies to overcome the strongholds that have paralyzed me in my youth and finally learned how to heal. Unfortunately, these skills do not come naturally and it took many years of struggling before realizing the hard way that our mental health system is broken. I want to prevent others from wasting 20, 30 or even 40 years of your valuable lives before you also realize that today’s “standard treatment” often provides superficial outcomes and lacks sustainable results. Additionally, understand that I can relate as a former “problem child,” and a mother who overcame serious obstacles in order to become a positive role-model for my child. Whether you have also suffered from past trauma, feel overly stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, depressed and worn-out, or desire to optimize your mindset, you will benefit from this program built upon remarkable, scientifically proven research, specifying how to effectively manage your feelings. Regardless of your past, we are all human who can prosper from critical advances in science that have made incredible discoveries over the past few decades that are advantageous for most, if not all of us. Research suggests that we are all wired for positivity, which means that the uncomfortable emotions that we all experience, such as anxiety, worry, stress, guilt, shame, depression and so on, are our body's natural way of signaling to us that we are out of balance emotionally. If you learn the correct way to confront these emotions, eventually a shift in your perception you will not only allow you to view anxiety, emotional disorders and stress as necessary, but also positive and essential indicators that help us discover our authentic selves, build strong identities, increase self-acceptance and self-esteem. In other words, these are our natural “checks and balances,” which guide our minds back towards equilibrium. However, society stigmatizes common emotions, labeling us as mentally ill, prescribing meds that mask our feelings, encourage distracting and ignoring as the most common therapeutic interventions... Before I learned how to control my emotions, I constantly obsessed over toxic thoughts, always imagining the worst case scenario, fixating on possible negative outcomes only, my unhealthy thinking worsened from the stress of working high-level corporate positions and could not separate stress from work and my personal life. I was convinced that this was who I was, feeling hopeless and helpless. Despite my master’s level education in psychology, hundreds of hours spent training at life coaching, years of counseling, therapy, self-help books, seminars, courses etc., I failed to gain sustainable improvements. I felt stuck, exhausted and confused about how other single-mothers successfully focused on their careers, managed social lives, balanced time with their children and so forth… Until I discovered and implemented techniques explaining how scientific studies based off of Neuroplasticity (a combination of mindfulness, introspection, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and positive psychology, showing as high as 81% improvements in depression and anxiety) taught me how to habitually control my brains instead of my brains controlling me, I remained oblivious that the solution to my problems even existed. Yet simply changing my thinking patterns changed my life and I truly believe that if others understood in actionable terms “how to” instead of meaningless tips of “what to do,” massive transformations would occur. We all harness the same power or brain structure; therefore, A) if I can do it, anyone can, and B) I have witnessed many clients drastically improve their lives as well. I get why people are discouraged but imagine what your life would be like if you truly felt in control? What it would feel like to rid yourself of the past issues that send you false messages, sounding like “I can’t be happy until (I’m super wealthy, have a degree, find a “perfect” relationship, purchase that beautiful home, or car, etc).” Imagine if you could comprehend that you are perfect the way you are at this very moment? Of course, self-growth is a life-long process, but that’s not happiness or contentment. Studies show happiness precedes success, and not the other way around (If interested in more about “Happiness,” please read my blog)… I constantly felt anxious for no particular reason, would suffer panic attacks, anxiety attacks, social anxiety, severe emotional stress and obviously self-doubt. I was an educated, strong, confident woman at one point, and I wondered what the heck happened? Instead, I focused on my many bad decisions, comparing myself to others, and speaking HORRIBLY to myself about myself (which is THE worst thing anyone can do, so please stop immediately)... If this resonates with you, you can read “My [entire] Story,” linked below; however, this is not about me anymore. This is about the clients that I have helped and many more who I know need to know about the significance of this research. When I say, changing how you think IS life-changing; I am not being a cheesy sales-person because I am terrible at sales and only can sell something if I believe in it. If you’re interested in others who I have helped gain unbelievable results, please click on the “Case Studies” link… Let’s face it, life is full of challenges, and there is no such life as an uncomplicated one. Even through life’s hardships, you don’t have to “lose control,” “fall apart,” or obtain a mental health diagnosis for feeling depressed or anxious. You can become resilient, bounce back easily, separate work-stress from family-life, model effective coping-skills for your children or as a leader in your career and so much more.

What do you love most about your job?

Being able to relate to my clients, which builds trust and credibility because they understand that I am in this for the right reasons. Obviously, their progress is the reward that I gain.
I do not love making videos, lol, and my friends and family constantly tell me not to play w my hair! Ironically, I started playing w my hair when my mom would drop me off at therapists as a kid to avoid making contact. Since then, it has been a comforting habit that I do when I am nervous.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and owned a credit repair company while I was in grad school. I was helping families who were in an adjustable loan change in to a fixed rate. I always knew I would start a business helping others, and often encourage my clients who share that spirit make the leap.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I can relate to barreling with mental health issues, suicidal ideations, attempts, trauma BUT I survived using the technique I use to heal my clients. I have lots of compassion, empathy & truly feel like I’m following my path!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, this is the primary way I conduct my sessions even for local clients due to Covid and most people find it equally therapeutic, but there are a few who prefer face-to face so I get it. However, I still notice that I often receive requests from individuals who prefer face-to-face sessions, yet we live way too far from each other. Therefore, if you send a request for an estimate and I do not respond, the reason is that we have to buy leads from Bark and so far I have not had any luck making contact under these circumstances.
Please indicate if virtual is an option and I will gladly respond to your request for an estimate :)

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Virtual or telephone sessions, and I provided enough detail in regards to this in my previous response.
