My Brother in Law suggested we try Pier 22. He works there and has always talked about how good the food taste. He hit the nail smack on, suggesting that we try this restaurant. We ate there on a Sunday after church. Our server Tamara was awesome. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits, then I got the Seafood Omelet. The presentation, the taste and the aroma were epic. The manager on duty was Terry Hansen. He was awesome at checking on us during the different parts of our scrumptious meal. This experience has ushered Pier 22 into our top five of restaurants. To seal the deal we had to try a dessert... The struggle started when we made a decision to get two separate desserts. My wife tried the Carrot Cake (her favorite all time dessert) and I got a slice of their Peanut Butter Pie. Those desserts sat us overboard. The next time we are in town, we can not wait try a different dish at Pier 22.
Dara is amazing, her photos are the output of her passion for the Island and photography, she's more than just another vendor. She shot our wedding 8 years ago, and just took some family portraits of our now family of 5. We connected with her instantly, and have remained friends for the past 8 years.
Capt. Shawn worked really hard for us and turned what could have been an average day into a fantastic one! We caught a lot of different species and he kept on quality fish with a bagful for this weekend’s fish fry. He’s easily the most knowledgeable guide I’ve fished with and I highly recommend him.
We definitely plan to go back. There were many selections on the menu we wanted to try. Organic salad, leek potato soup was great for starters. Can’t say enough good things. We will definitely take friends
