A friend recommended AMOB. I was nervous when I called and they didn't take reservations. Fortunately we could watch the live wait times from Yelp and since we only had 4 of us, I didn't think we should have too much trouble getting a table. The wait was listed as 2-10 minutes, and I did see it update a few times so they were monitoring it. I was able to check in from the Yelp app when we were 5 minutes away and it directed me to check in with the hostess. I did and she said 10-15 minute wait. They have benches and chairs outside for a waiting area, which was under a roof. It was a beautiful night and we waited about 15 minutes. We were seated and our drink order was taken quickly. We had oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and they were excellent with horseradish and the OMOB hot sauce. We all had soup, Oyster stew, Lobster bisque and Spicy Fish Gumbo. Every soup was hot and delicious. Three of us ordered Grouper, Island style, Caribbean jerk style and Roma style. Mom had the First mates combo. Everything was excellent and I would highly recommend this place. The prices are reasonable for quality seafood. Our bill for 4 with 3 people having alcohol was $200 including tip. Plus we had an appetizer and 3 of us had a bowl of soup and one had a cup of soup. Great place. We will be back! More...

This place is the best restaurant for the price in Sarasota and Bradenton. Service is great and food and drinks are too. Been here 4 times and it has always been terrific. This was our first time to Anna Maria's. We wanted to try the raw oysters. The tequila lime oysters were delicious as were the regular ones. We sat at the bar and were soon joined by many seniors who were obviously regulars. The ambiance was friendly, waitstaff attentive however they appeared to get quick busy in the overall restaurant as more seniors arrived for Happy Hour prices. We would return to AM again. More...
