This is a don't miss spot. I always want a great cup of coffee in the morning while on vacation. This place makes great coffee AND even better pastries. We usually eat Gluten Free (not celiac though) but since they were using non GMO flour from Czech, we took our chances and it was well worth the risk. Incredible pastries. This was by far the best dinner we had in the Bradenton area. The chicken schnitzel, the beef stroganoff, and potato pancakes were to die for! We have lived in this area for 3 years and walked by this place hundreds of times. Yo. My mind was blown on this little place! We got takeout from there last night and all of the food was freaking amazing. .. like.. seriously.. The old world simplicity and hardiness of these dishes was so well put together with flavors that are seriously epic I can't really say enough.. Saw the ratings and reviews and had to go there. I ordered the Pork Shank, it was huge but flavorless with a lot fat. My friend ordered the Beef Stroganoff, which was a Lg. serving and delicious. Delicious everything! We ended going back 2 days later with family. We tried the chicken florentine, lamb Weiner schnitzel, chicken piccata, potato pancakes, bruschetta. My family background is eastern European so we love this kind of food! We're more bohemian than German, but everything was so comforting! We had two different kinds of pork and both were delicious! I came in after the evening entertainment and the restaurant was not very busy. I was concerned until I started eating. The staff is attentive and friendly. They are very well versed in the menu and made excellent recommendations. They work as a seamless team and I appreciate that. The food is delicious! French Onion soup is a bit salty for my taste, but it is excellent. Texture, consistency, and flavor. Now, I am very particular about my duck. This was one of the best I have ever had anywhere.
