Been kind of a chill afternoon and evening. There are not tons of places here to eat as there would be at PCB or Daytona, however with it being a Holiday weekend, this island is packed! I called several restaurants, none of which were taking reservations, walk-in, 1st come 1st serve, a couple places we called even said we have no more room for a party of 9 for the night (this was at 5pm), so we drove to a place called The Ugly Grouper. Menu looked great and heard it was fun. It looked busy however not like a long unmanageable wait. We were immediately told 3 hrs and we decided that would be too long, and then heard people behind us suggesting their party could break up and sit separate and that made the wait go to a hour, so my daughter goes to ask can we do the same, and the lady at The Ugly Group had an Ugly attitude to match it! She said umm no! I can’t break up your party (puzzled) my daughter said ma’am, we don’t mind we can sit 5 at a table and 4 at a table, it doesn’t have to be close to each other or even at the exact same time, we did drive in 2 different vehicles. So the host response to that was shockingly rude and ugly, she said ummm no, it’s too late you are a party of 9 period and we have to treat you as such. So needless to say we left that place ✌🏽 and called few more places, none of which were taking anymore large parties and so I found a place near our home called Slim’s Place!
