At Berkshire Hypnosis, we have devoted ourselves to developing a practice that’s centered around the client’s needs, where we take the time to truly understand the people and their challenges so that all sessions are completely personalized. In doing so, people are guided in very interesting ways to find their own long-term solutions to even the most challenging issues.

Tara offers a holistic approach to emotional and spiritual wellness. She is not a mental health counselor. Encouraging her clients to look at themselves and own their part of the story is an essential part of her work. On one's journey towards self-discovery, Tara helps her clients change their stories from victim-speak to self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Jonathan was amazing! He took the time to get to know my trouble spots and took great care to make sure I was comfortable! I left less broken than when I went in! I have been dealing with bursitis in my right shoulder blade and can honestly say I feel amazing right now. I will be back! Thanks love!!

UPDATE: We now take insurance! We take approved CDPHP and MVP plans. Please contact for more information. The Group Practice of Timothy Crumley, LMHC DBA provides private counseling, support, and other mental health resources to New York residents that are affirmative, client-centered, and accessible through secure, digital means. We offer counseling services to individuals and families facing barriers, internal and external, through our use of HIPAA-secure software and online technology in addition to face to face therapy. We seek to modernize and improve therapeutic technique and your experience as the client by offering local, online counseling services. Our Vision: We believe counseling and other healthcare services in general underutilize online communication and technology in the 21st century. While some generic, big-name brands dominate the online counseling scene, we envision a world where smaller, more dynamic and personable practices are available to clients facing a diverse set of challenges. This includes training, supervising, and engaging young counselors who may be currently excluded from established online counseling platforms. Counselors entering the field today are not ready to provide services through an online platform, and we are looking to change that. We provide affordable, accessible services to clients who may not otherwise engage in face to face therapy, as well as we serve as an adjunct and addition to traditional, brick and mortar counseling. This includes using digital means to reach disenfranchised communities including (but not limited to) the LGBTQ community, people of color, rural communities, clients navigating substance use issues, young people, seniors, individuals and families coping with mood and other disorders, as well as clients facing external stressors, expectations, and dysfunctional societal norms.
Our counselors entered the field of mental health to provide support, guidance, and a safe space for clients in need. While we seek to provide these fundamentals both in person and online, our passion is in working with individuals who may not otherwise engage in therapy and making therapy more mainstream and accessible.
Soon after entering the field of mental health counseling, I found myself supervising and managing a substance-use treatment program where effective, client-centered care faced off with systemic and financial barriers. I entered tele-mental health (in addition to working for an in-person practice) and began working with national platforms that provide online therapy.
While I enjoyed working for these platforms, I realized the downsides to not having an in-person component or option in my work with clients. It also turns out these platforms struggle with their outcome measures, and this is likely related to several factors including the lack of in-person options as well as therapists being underpaid and under-supervised (even at the licensed level.
Our therapists engage in flexible, accessible therapy that is client-centered and affirmative. What this means is that while your therapist is experienced in specific areas and issues, we believe you are your own best expert. Our therapists, rather than talking at you or telling you what you "should" do, will walk with you (at your discretion and pace). Moreover, our therapists are experienced and trained in various issues, including substance-use, issues facing the LGBTQ community, relationships, family system issues, mood disorders, anxiety, systematic barriers and navigating external stressors.
