I hired Chef Pete 3 days before our event and he swept me away with what he was able to pull together in that little of time. He presented me with a menu the next day and quoted me a reasonable price per person. All 30 attendees were blown away with his food. His professionalism and efficiency go above and beyond and I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a great chef!

“Middle Eastern food is easy to find in the East Bay, but Ani is the real thing. Ani was born in Jordan, and grew up in Lebanon. Ani’s grandmother taught Ani recipes rooted in both Armenian tradition and the cuisine of southern Turkey – two more culinary influences.
I manage to enjoy Ani's food each Sunday in Sausalito at the farmer's market for the past month. Ani is enthusiastic about her food offerings and she generously has folks try them out as samples before purchasing. And she is very kind as well!

Had lunch catering from these guys last week, for ~40 people. Was really happy that they gave a lot of different dishes, many of them were vegetarian friendly. This included tofu, sushi, stir fried vegetables, rice, and salad. And there were a decent number of meat dishes too, so everyone in the office was pretty happy. Definitely would recommend to other large groups who are looking for asian food.

I have used Chef Rafael Olintho twice now and I have another event with him on the books. The first event was a 30th wedding anniversary I hosted for out of town guests. Two of the people had allergies which he had no problem working around. The dinner was delicious! The second event I used him for was a ladies luncheon and everybody (picky eaters!) loved it! Next weekend he is doing my husband's birthday dinner. He is easy to work with, reasonably priced, flexible and, most importantly, the food is amazing!

This is the first time I heard of Big City Chefs. I took a cooking class taught by Alex Tishman and was quite impressed. He kept the session fun, relaxed, interactive and enjoyable. He has a great sense of humor and is also very knowledgeable. He actually takes the time to explain the science of cooking when he can and encourages questions! The theme of the class was masa and the menu included shrimp and avocado enchiladas, mushroom quesadillas, and corn and crab tamales - all were deliciously fresh, light and flavorful. I do want to mention that I DON'T EVEN LIKE OR EAT CHEESE, but I was able to eat all three dishes. All the masa tortillas were made from scratch and were so fresh, rustic and yummy! Nom, nom, nom!If I ever need a personal chef in the future, I definitely know who to call.
I had a cooking class with Chef Isaac in my home. We made an amazing dinner -- beef wellington with a wine pan sauce, green beans and mashed potatoes. His style is friendly and approachable, he is very knowledgable and he gave me lots of information to make cooking these dishes seem very simple. Had some friends over for dinner after and they liked the food too. I recommend his class to anybody that wants to learn in their own kitchen with their own equipment.
