Recently I had a patient of mine move part-time to Raleigh and I referred her to Andrea as she is a specialist in Women’s health at 50+. My client made it a point to let me know how pleased she was in having worked with Andrea and achieved her goal weight, reduction in hot flash symptoms, and feeling more energetic than ever! I know anyone who is under Andrea’s care is in great hands. As a person, Andrea is genuinely inquisitive, helpful, and always willing to go above expectations for her patients. I appreciate her professionalism and honest approach. Thank you Andrea!

Awesome. I had tried old-school Bikram yoga many years ago, and liked it, but the whole 90 minute thing was an obstacle and some of the poses seemed ineffective and superfluous. I have tried most of the classes at Arrichion and they all rock.60 minutes, great workout, great environment. You will SWEAT, my friend. The Krystallos is a great core class, the Tiger Eye is a great hybrid workout/yoga class and the Bloodstone adds music and has a pretty intense salutation series, the Diamond is done by candlelight with music and is a great way to wrap up the week- Black Opal is my personal fave.. Each hour  long class goes by in a flash. I shall sweat my many caloric sins over the holidays out right here. Bring water, a towel, and a yoga mat.

Insurance coverage for nutrition counseling depends on your plan type and diagnosis. Here's how to maximize your benefits in North Carolina:
Step 1: Check if you have a covered condition
Call your insurance and ask if 'Medical Nutrition Therapy' or 'dietitian services' are covered. Mention your specific condition (diabetes, kidney disease, eating disorder, etc.).
Step 2: Get a referral
Most plans require a referral or prescription from your doctor. Ask for a referral to a 'Registered Dietitian for Medical Nutrition Therapy' and make sure they include your diagnosis code.
Step 3: Find an in-network provider
Insurance pays more (or only) for in-network dietitians. When you submit your request on Bark, add your insurance provider to your requirements so you'll only hear from nutritionists who accept your plan. If your top choice is out-of-network, some plans still offer partial reimbursement.
Step 4: Verify benefits
Before your first appointment, confirm:
No coverage? You can still use HSA/FSA funds for nutrition counseling. Ask about payment plans or sliding scale fees.
Based upon the latest Bark data, market research and regional estimates, the average monthly cost for nutrition counseling in North Carolina is approximately $135. Keep in mind that while rates in Raleigh are competitive, specialized counseling (like eating disorder treatment or medical nutrition therapy) may carry a higher premium. Many insurance plans cover registered dietitian visits. The national average is around $135 per month, with costs varying based on session frequency, credentials, and your specific nutrition needs.
Estimated investment by payment structure based on your location:
With insurance: Most covered visits have a copay of $15-50 per session instead of the full rate.

Hiring a registered dietitian is an investment in your long-term health. Beyond just telling you what to eat, a nutrition professional in Raleigh teaches you how food affects your body, helping you build habits that prevent chronic disease and improve quality of life for years to come.
Don't be afraid to ask about a professional's background. Credentialed dietitians hold RD or RDN credentials from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and must maintain continuing education. These credentials ensure they follow evidence-based practices and can provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). Note: The term 'nutritionist' is not regulated in most states, so always verify credentials.
If you're on a budget, start by maximizing insurance benefits—get a referral from your doctor if needed for covered conditions. Ask about package pricing, which often reduces the per-session rate. Virtual nutrition counseling is typically 15-25% less expensive than in-office visits. Some dietitians offer lower-cost initial consultations or free discovery calls to ensure you're a good fit before committing.
