As a headshot photographer and personal branding coach, I’ve helped thousands of people put their best face forward with images that say the right things about them. When I’m not taking pictures of heads or poking around inside them, you’ll find me acting half my age at CrossFit, undoing the effort with pizza, and and binge-watching great TV. Current loves: Black Mirror, Outlander, The Crown, Game of Thrones. I currently live in Mentor with my wife of 20 years, our two amazing kids, and a pint-sized pit bull named Kitty.

What do you love most about your job?

Most people can’t see the truth of their own exceptionalism—especially in pictures; I believe I was put on this earth to show it to them.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Once upon a time, I was a successful creative strategist with a boutique venture consulting company. I woke up one day and saw I was becoming more like my VC partners than my creative self. Then and there, I decided to get out of the mercenary work of branding opportunity and get into the missionary work of branding people—doing my part to bring them face-to-face with their best selves.

Why should our clients choose you?

MISSION. Most people can’t see the truth of their own exceptionalism; I believe I was put on this earth to show it to them. My interest is transformational, not transactional.

EXPERIENCE. I’ve spent most of the past 15 years behind the camera and inside people’s brands, so it’s safe to say I've learned a thing or two about lights, cameras, and authenticity.

DIRECTION. 1500+ sessions into my career, I have a track record for capturing people at their best—not just actors and models, but real people who don’t necessarily do their best work in front of a camera. Relax. I’ll show you what to do every step of the way.

STUDIO. Headspace was designed with headshots in mind. Spacious, yet warm with a retro-Zen vibe, it’s all about photobranding—the art and science of capturing the authentic you.

TOOLS. I use a 50 megapixel Canon 5DS for eye-popping detail, KinoFlos for face-flattering lighting, and a 75" Sony 4K to show off the results.

INSIGHT. Choosing the right image can be tricky, so it helps to have a personal branding pro on your team. Beyond having a technical eye, I also have an intuitive sense of what a headshot says about a person.

QUALITY. My commitment to delivering cover-quality images is absolute. Some photographers sub-out their retouching, but I find working directly with clients end-to-end is the best way to exceed their expectations. I’m proud of my 100+ ★★★★★ reviews. Check them out on Facebook and Google.

FOCUS. When you're in Headspace, you’re the most important person in the room. Studio photographers can be prima donnas. Not me. I reply to my own email. I schedule my own appointments. I answer my own phone. 440-490-1544. Go ahead—try me :-)
