A New York native and life-long professional drummer, Erik played Dvorak at Carnegie Hall, punk and ska music at CBGB's and classic rock Wetlands in NYC in his teens. After furthering his studies in percussion performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he hit the road in 1991 and toured nationally until 2004 with the progressive jazz quartet Schleigho, releasing 5 CD's and playing over 3000 shows with the likes of jazz great John Scofield, funk legend Maceo Parker and rock icons to The Allman Bothers Band, who signed them in 1998 to their record label, Flying Frog Records.
After teaching a full 40-student roster privately and as a band and ensemble teacher at schools in the Tri-state area since 2001, Erik also recently taught weekly lessons at Google, Inc in Mountain View, CA from 2015-2019, while playing jazz at many Bay Area venues.

I teach almost exclusively online, to students worldwide, many of whom have been studying with me for years, including young beginners and professional touring and recording drummers. I have high quality mic's and cameras, with multiple view angles and reliable high speed internet.

Luigi w/ Arredondo reached out immediately after I submitted a request for a rock band on July 4th. I wasn’t sure I wanted a band for the party but Luigi convinced me with some videos of previous gigs. I AM SO GLAD HE DID. It was a scorcher of a day and my backyard is very tight, but they made it work and they absolutely rocked. Days later guests are still talking about the band. All the members were fantastic and Luigi was a very cool dude to deal with. 1000% recommend and would hire them again.

Ya gotta fall in love with this teacher ... so wise and loving. I've lived my life in a very high strung fashion; she is actually helping me relax and worry less! I lost my voice due to a medical condition (stress related); it's coming back. She added piano lessons and ease to our voice work to help relax my voice and my pace!
