DL Scott is a breath of fresh air IF and WHEN one is ready to deal with, hear, speak and act in one's own truth, as I feel I was when I came into contact with him. One of the things I most appreciate is how fantastic he was at meeting me right where I was. I felt absolutely no judgement or shame from him as he allowed for and facilitated my own natural process of healing; a deconstuction of my internal negative energies in what I felt was a very safe space and safe process for which I shall remain most grateful.
Offering: Personal Grief Coaching for any type of grief, Guided Grief Breathing and Movement, and online peer support groups. As a professional life coach, I am dedicated to helping people live their best life. I became a bereaved mother, and widow, and lost my dear companion animal, all in the same year. Loosing one of your best furry friends is always going to be difficult. But, how much more when your friend is only 3.5 years old and physically been very healthy. I lost Bruno, my 150 pound Great Pyrenees on April 21st and was devastated. I thank God that I found Adrian to be a listening sympathetic ear that provided me encouragement and a listening ear when I needed it most. I highly recommend her if you are needing someone to talk to about the loss of your furry best friend. God bless you Adrian and your wonderful ministry.

I was blessed to experience Mary's body centered trauma course & WOW! It came along with Divine timing , it was exactly what I needed & didn't even know how badly I needed it until we wrapped up. Like most trauma centered work I've done, I don't see, hear or feel the impact it is having until a new threshold has been reached.. this work was as I said divinely timed. I am in the process of building a business (scary), which has activated all the untrue stories I have assumed from others, as well as the ones I have told myself over the years. "Not good enough, smart or capable enough...etc etc" And also, during the process of this work, I found out some intense generational trauma, which I was able to address during this work. One of the most profound outcomes was my developing a deeper relationship with my inner advisor. It has birth a sense of greater connection to my highest self... Which is, for me.. the ultimate goal for me to BE my best self while on this earthly journey. I am forever grateful for this time with Mary. And, I feel blessed to be a witness to her evolving practice & to see the lives that will forever be changed by this amazing work she is doing with & for others. We all have our own medicine within us to heal. We just need a supportive environment with supportive people to help us access it! Thank you Mary for helping me access a new layer of my own medicine! I love you!!!

I am a Geriatric Residential Placement Specialist. Over the past 20 years I have worked closely with Affiliated Mental Health staff, most recently with; Mary, Gregory and Elizabeth. Our combined cases are often complicated by dementia, drugs and alcohol, family dysfunction, evictions and resistance to care. Additionally, many of their clients are referred from psychiatric hospitals under civil commitment. In spite of extreme circumstances, Mary, Gregory and Elizabeth have proven themselves skilled and compassionate, and able to navigate care planning, and care options - with my assistance, to create and sustain the best possible outcomes for their clients they have served and now serving. In all of the circumstances that they have encountered where we've coordinated together, no matter how complex, I can say without hesitation that their professionalism and expertise are superb while they demonstrate true compassion and care for those they serve. It's always been an honor and pleasure to work with such a skilled and caring team at Affiliated Mental Health!

Mental health is crucial to an individual’s overall health. Unfortunately, health insurance doesn’t always cover mental health services and, if it does, it either restricts access to care by limiting the number of covered visits or by slapping on excessive co-payments. In response to the growing need of mental health services and in an effort to address the shortfalls of insurance coverage for mental health, Direct Primary Care offers cash-pay counseling services at rates that are 50% less than typical insurance-billed pricing!

We view our mission as merging the best that clinical psychology and neuroscience has to offer for addressing our clients’ goals, whether they be: • Improving emotional well-being • Enhancing cognitive performance • Resolving long-standing difficulties • Establishing solid foundations for the future Many traditional “mental” health services are based on notions and interventions from a time in which it was not possible to directly observe and interact with the living human brain. Times have changed! We take advantage of real-time brain imaging techniques, as well as advances in neurotherapy methods, such as neurofeedback, biofeedback, Cranio-Electrical Stimulation, 3D Motion Object Tracking, as well as the best methods in psychological assessment, psychotherapy and behavior therapy, to help define the problem, change the associated brain functioning, and track changes in the symptoms. In addition to helping people with common, as well as frustrating, problems, these same methods can be enormously helpful for improving and optimizing daily life and performance. By targeting their focus, attention, memory, and sensory-motor skills, clients find their work, school, and athletic performance enhanced in a variety of ways. All of the methods we use have been scientifically developed and validated for the intended use. Some of them have become integrated into the training regimen of several professional and collegiate-level sports teams, as well as at Olympic training facilities.
There are several things I love about my work! First of all, I get great satisfaction from helping someone conquer a troubling problem, whether it be long-standing depression, disabling anxiety, or gaining control over a problem or behavior that was causing them problems. It's wonderful to be a witness to the growth and change that comes about. Second, I greatly enjoy working with the fantastic team at Brain Health Northwest. Although I very much appreciate their intelligence and warmth, they are also funny, outgoing, and a joy with whom to work. Third, I love bringing the fruits of this amazing field -- clinical neuroscience -- to bear in helping people solve real-life problems. Our ability to harness the power of the brain to, in many ways, heal itself (with a little help!) is, I think, a profound game-changer and has lead us to change our entire perspective from "mental health" to "brain health." The bottom line is that healthy brains produce healthy thoughts, feelings and behavior. When we work to produce healthy brains, those are the outcomes.
Both of the principals at Brain Health Northwest (Richard Packard and Rogene Eichler West) had been working, individually, for many years, without knowing one another. Dr. West was in the academic world as a professor of neuroscience. She had been doing research, publishing, and teaching ways to harness the brain to solve problems, but wanted to work more directly with people in a clinic. However, she had been primarily a research scientist and not a clinician. Dr. Packard has been a clinical psychologist for 30+ years. While using conventional evaluation and treatment methods, he had also been learning about the advances in clinical neuroscience and believed they could be enormously beneficial, as well as be able to address problems in ways conventional methods could not. However, he is primarily a clinician and not a research scientist. While both had lived and worked in the Seattle area for many years, they did not know one another. They met in a chance encounter at a conference in Ohio, spent much of the next six days talking and picking each other's brain and discovered that, in addition to really liking each other, we could also help the other learn new knowledge and skills. After about a year of excited discussions (some of which gravitated to our other passions of technology, music, dogs, and living in the Northwest), we decided to formally join our interests and form Brain Health Northwest. We spent much of the first two years developing and revising our methods and model and are now offering our products to the broader world.
When someone chooses us, they get not just one clinician, but an entire team! While we each have a common core set of knowledge and skills, we also have our unique skills and background. Dr. Packard has over four decades of experience in a variety of settings, working with a wide variety of problem areas. He has won awards and recognition from his colleagues for both his scientific expertise and clinical skills. Dr. West is a brilliant scientist and a "Renaissance Woman" with wide-ranging interests in neuroscience, software engineering, music, and other fields, too. She brings a penetrating, ordered mind to understanding the nuances of what it takes to promote a health brain. Ms. Moergeli is a warm, compassionate therapist with a sound foundation in neuroscience. Her own life includes a wide-ranging experience base that has taken her to many places and an understanding of what makes for a happy, fulfilling life. After spending 20+ years in the technology business and working for companies "everyone would recognize", Mr. Imber decided to return to his original passion of clinical and physiological psychology. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, emphasizing physiological psychology and neuroscience. He is already quite accomplished with biofeedback and other clinical skills and is particularly interested in how to achieve peak performance and maximize our potential. Marlaina Anderson is a licensed mental health counselor with a wonderful set of skills working with children, adolescents and adults. She is a warm and engaging therapist who integrates an excellent set of skills in problem-solving, evidence-based therapies with clinical neuroscience.
We view our mission as bringing everything we have to bear in helping our clients achieve their goals!
