I first started seeing Dr. Haynes a few weeks ago ,and have never doubted my decision. he is kind, perceptive, respectful, and professional. He is more engaging and insightful than any other therapist I have ever seen, and I wouldn't trade him for anything!
I don't know what I would've done without Living Mercy Christian Counseling. I found Dr. Haynes after I had been through two terrible experiences with other therapists. JD quickly gained my trust with his humor, warmth and compassion. In the time I've been working with him, he has helped me out of some very difficult places. JD always makes time for me with my hectic schedule and has been more than accommodating when financial situations arise. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

As a Sex and Intimacy Coach, I offer clients, first, a safe and confidential space to explore, heal, and move past blockages that prevent them from living a fully integrated life - mind, body, and spirit. My work involves coaching, experimentation, and bodywork towards helping you move past shame, guilt, fear, and judgment of your body, sexuality, and spirituality. Through the course of our work, many clients find new and exciting ways to help heal trauma in their body, move past debilitating life scripts and projections, and ultimately gain a deeper sense of self-confidence, love, awareness, esteem, and a deeper relationship with their bodies.
My philosophy is simple - I want to see a better world. And in order for that to happen, each individual must heal. They, in-turn, will heal their relationships, their relationships will heal their communities, and their communities will heal our planet. Nothing brings me more joy than when a client is able to find a deeper acceptance of themselves and go out into the world and live the life they've always dreamed.
For the past 10 years, I have worked in one form of Social Work or another. From 2009-2012 I worked as a Sexual Health Counselor at Lifelong AIDS Alliance where I counseled gay, bi, and trans men of color on their sexual health. From 2012-2013 I Implemented Gay City Health Project's "Testing Together" Program where couples could get tested together, find out their HIV status together, and create agreements around their sexual play. During this time I also received my MSW from the University of Washington. In 2014 I decided to take all that experience and education and combine it with my study of Tantra and get my certification in Sexological Bodywork.
My goal is to help folks not only learn mental tools to live a better life but also how they can connect all that learning with their bodies for a more (w)holistic embodied experience.
My work is first and foremost about helping clients understand that sexuality, spirituality, and physicality are not mutually exclusive; that their entire life is an integrated whole - what happened in the past, affects the present, and often paves the way for what happens in the future.
I am a big proponent of integrated health. It is not enough that we heal the mind, we must also heal the body. And this is how I approach my work, from an embodied understanding of health, sexuality, and spirituality.
