The Therapy Place

I work with couples, adolescents, and individuals to promote healing and a sense of well-being, using evidence-based practices and a Christian perspective with a non-judgmental approach. I work with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and mood disorders to name a few. I utilize many different methods to include Narrative, CBT, Sand tray, and Experiential Therapies. I work with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Kansas Medicaid. Co-pays due at time of service. For those with no insurance, sessions are $85 for same day, self-pay. Sliding scale fee available for those with limited income.

What do you love most about your job?

I most love being able to really listen to the stories of the most amazing people - my clients! I am honored they would share their experiences with me. I love to see when they have overcome some of life's most difficult challenges and I get to see them succeed.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I chose the field of Marriage and Family Therapy to work with real people and to equip them with tools to improve their lives and relationships. Owning my own therapy business means that I can hold to my values and provide my clients with treatment worthy of the dignity and respect I would want to receive.

Why should our clients choose you?

It is my goal for you to feel safe and welcomed here, with no judgement. So often life can become chaotic and messy. I offer my clients a place of refuge to undwind and help them to work through those most difficult times. As an Experiential Therapist, I believe in being real and authentic in the therapy room with my clients.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am able to provide telehealth services via zoom in some cases, though in-person is preferred. Once paperwork is completed and verified, I would schedule an online session. Payment would be processed by credit card. If you are using Medicaid, they do not allow this option. I can provide online services in Kansas only.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Office is sanitized before and after each session. Social distancing. Masks worn in session according to client preference.
