We couldn't have asked for a better Florist! From our first meeting Brenna was so easy to get along with and we ended up talking for almost an hour about things that had nothing to do with flowers. She was very detailed in her planning and even sent us a look book of images and colors that represented what we wanted our floral arrangements to look like, this way we could make sure we were all on the same page about everything. Whenever I had a question, Brenna would get back to me within the day with an answer. If there were any changes she was making to the floral arrangements, due to a shortage of a specific flower, she would always run it by me first to make sure I was okay with the change. One thing I love about Brenna was that she threw in a throwing bouquet for free. I didn't think I could afford one but I'm so happy I had one to throw at my wedding :) Brenna went above and beyond her expectations to make our wedding day look beautiful. Thank you Brenna! :)

She was quick to respond to my emails, very flexible and ensured that the wedding florals were within my budget. Tiffany provided me with a custom proposal, outlining all the details of the flowers, with options to choose from (depending on the budget), which was very helpful! The communication was smooth and very pleasant ~ Tiffany always made sure we were on the same page about every little detail (color palette, wedding theme, flower alternatives, etc). We picked up the flowers on the morning of the wedding and they were impeccable, better than I envisioned! The bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets (x5) and the eucalyptus flower garland for the altar were all magnificent ~ everybody loved them!

Amy got her start in the floral industry right out of college. Floral design was always something that had interested her, so she decided to give it a shot. During that time, Amy discovered a talent for working with flowers and an eye for design. She spent time working for Jones the Florist and the Hyde Park Floral and Garden Center (both in Cincinnati, Ohio) before moving to Oregon to pursue her graduate studies.
After doing the flower arrangements for her own wedding, Amy re-discovered everything that she loved about "playing" with flowers. She had always appreciated the creative aspects of the floral industry and the joy of creating something beautiful for others to enjoy, but found the significant retail mark-up disconcerting (especially when the word "wedding" is thrown into the conversation). When Amy realized that she could use her skills and knowledge to help other couples avoid paying more than they had to for their wedding flowers, Mayfly Flowers was born!
As a former budget bride, Amy has a special fondness for the DIY couple on a budget. That's why she does not mark up the price of flowers. Your total cost is determined by the current wholesale price for the amount of flowers selected for your arrangements and Amy's labor fee for the number and type of arrangements you need. Amy has discovered over the years that she is able to save her clients more money by NOT having traditional 'fixed-price' packages, and instead customizing the flower order for each client in order to take advantage of bulk pricing and seasonal discounts.
As a very general guideline, weddings where Amy is just providing "people flowers" (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres) price out in the $500 range (and very often they cost significantly less than that!). Adding in centerpieces, ceremony decor, and other arrangements will see a corresponding increase in total cost. Spending a little bit of time together in the beginning of the process to talk through the floral vision for your wedding can pay off with savings in the long run!
