I mostly buy Fieldwork plants at the Woodsman Market. The selection is always unique and diverse. I have bought strange looking ferns, flowers, and herbs. The owner, Megan, knows her plants and has given me tips on indoor and outdoor plant care. The shop, down the street from the Woodsman, is sparse and elegant and beautiful. Highly recommended!

We received several floral arrangements recently (as we experienced a family member passing) the arrangements we received from Tommy Luke's were gorgeous and outlasted several of the other arrangements as the freshness and quality of the flowers were amazing. Amy got her start in the floral industry right out of college. Floral design was always something that had interested her, so she decided to give it a shot. During that time, Amy discovered a talent for working with flowers and an eye for design. She spent time working for Jones the Florist and the Hyde Park Floral and Garden Center (both in Cincinnati, Ohio) before moving to Oregon to pursue her graduate studies.
After doing the flower arrangements for her own wedding, Amy re-discovered everything that she loved about "playing" with flowers. She had always appreciated the creative aspects of the floral industry and the joy of creating something beautiful for others to enjoy, but found the significant retail mark-up disconcerting (especially when the word "wedding" is thrown into the conversation). When Amy realized that she could use her skills and knowledge to help other couples avoid paying more than they had to for their wedding flowers, Mayfly Flowers was born!
As a former budget bride, Amy has a special fondness for the DIY couple on a budget. That's why she does not mark up the price of flowers. Your total cost is determined by the current wholesale price for the amount of flowers selected for your arrangements and Amy's labor fee for the number and type of arrangements you need. Amy has discovered over the years that she is able to save her clients more money by NOT having traditional 'fixed-price' packages, and instead customizing the flower order for each client in order to take advantage of bulk pricing and seasonal discounts.
As a very general guideline, weddings where Amy is just providing "people flowers" (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres) price out in the $500 range (and very often they cost significantly less than that!). Adding in centerpieces, ceremony decor, and other arrangements will see a corresponding increase in total cost. Spending a little bit of time together in the beginning of the process to talk through the floral vision for your wedding can pay off with savings in the long run!
