I have had the most incredible experience with Sellwood!  Look no further! Don't even think of getting flowers elsewhere.I had wanted to send my daughter a special arrangement for her 18th birthday since she just moved to Portland a week ago for college and we could not be with her on this very special day .  After looking on line at a few websits for Portland area shops I came upon Sellwood.  Their focus on local growers and their photos of some unique arrangements really impressed me.Moreso, in my recent experience, the Sellwood team went above and beyond to provide personal service and incomparable results.I had been envisioning a piece centered around 18 red roses in a "darkly beatiful" arrangement, one that would feel wild but also have some sense of refinement with just a touch of rustic grit.  I found two standard arrangements on their website that each had elements I liked, but neither of which had it all. Rather than just ordering that night, I sent an email explaining what I was envisioning and got a prompt response the next morning saying they'd be happy to speak with me about what I wanted to create for the occasion.  Over the next few days the amazing team of delightful women at Sellwood worked with me (on the phone and over email w pictures) to put together a really stunning arrangement. Katie, Mary and Lynn were all incredible.  The personal followups for things like ensuring I had a card note ready on time were very professional.  And in the end, the team went above and beyond to personally deliver the arrangement to my daughter's dorm so that it wouldn't get lost or damaged by having the regular delivery service bring it to the mailroom (which is generic college protocol for delivery).The people at Sellwood are amazing human beings who have a true sense of the artistry and magic entailed in crafting floral arrangements to meet every mood.Wonderful! We sent this arrangement to our Customer, after he lost his Dad to Cancer. The next day he called to say how much our thoughtfulness meant to him and how he and his wife loved the Orchid arrangement. Then he told us an amazing story. It turns out that his dad was a Remodeling Contractor just like we are and our customer is as well. One thing his Dad would always do was to send his client an Orchid plant when their construction job was completed.It was his Dad's way of thanking them for their trust in his company and to brighten up the new look of their home. I received this absolutely stunning arrangement for my birthday Feb. 19th.  My friend, she knows me well. I love this little shop! The flowers I received are gorgeous and the customer service was excellent. My dad had ordered flowers for me and they sent him a photo of the bouquet. I arranged with them to come pick the flower up at their shop (my schedule was crazy and they tried to deliver a couple of times) and I am so glad I went over here! I recently came to town due to a family accident. My grandmother is always so happy to get flowers. So I stopped in here after a recommendation from an old coworker who came in here a year ago. I got the most beautiful arrangement, vase and all, for an extremely good deal. I was so impressed with the flowers though, I would have paid more. I used Sellwood to deliver some flowers to a relative from out of town and the flowers were delivered very quickly and were beautifully arranged. I also ordered some cookies to be delivered and there was some confusion as to whether they had arrived, and Sellwood was very responsive and helpful through the process (and they had, in fact, been properly delivered). Love this shop and their style! I bought a flower crown for my engagement photos, I had to buy two because my first shoot time got rained out, but both of them are AMAZING. Also, very knowledgeable about the succulents I was looking for and the ones I bought are still in healthy condition. We had a family tragedy and I needed to send flowers across town ASAP.   I tried to order on their website, but the website said it was too late (Order by 11 for deliveries outside of 97202). I called to see if there was anything they could do Alana (I think ) took my order over the phone and said it would be no problem to send them and walked me through all my options.  I HIGHLY recommend this place. The website for this company is pretty thorough, but I had a few additional questions so I called in. Not only was the person I spoke to (Will) very helpful with my questions, but he offered to finish my order in person! It is common nowadays for service people to refer customers to the website to complete an order, so I was appreciative that he was happy to discuss our specific needs for the arrangement on the phone. We had a sudden family tragedy and I needed to send flowers to some members of my family back home. My favorite florist in my neighborhood closed up shop years ago so I found Sellwood FC online and gave them a ring. I was quite distraught with grief, Krista took my call and assisted me in finding the perfect bouquets to help me express myself. Working off of the web photos and descriptions of what I prefer, we found something that would work with my aesthetic. The recipients were quite pleased and touched with such lovely arrangements and eye for details. I cannot thank the staff enough for their assistance, especially in this time of grief and sorrow. To put it lightly my girlfriend is "particular". They delivered the flowers to her office and she instantly texted me saying they were perfect.
