I’m in love with our photos from our fall session with Rachel. She is an amazing photographer and she was wonderful with our 3 year old. She kept her attention for the whole shoot and made her laugh and the results are beautiful. Looking forward to our future sessions
Shannon was absolutely amazing! She did my husband and mines wedding this past weekend and she went above and beyond for us. We dealt with not the greatest weather during the wedding and she made sure once we had the opportunity to avoid the rain she took as many pictures as possible for us. Shannon created a pinterest board for me where her and I could post different poses we liked. The day of the wedding she had the board open to make sure she didn't miss any of the poses I wanted! My guests keep asking about my photographer and can't wait to tell their friends all about her. I have only seen three pictures so far from her and I am IN LOVE with them. The day I receive the rest I am sure I'm going to cry because they are going to be just as perfect. Thank you so much Shannon for being apart of John and mines wedding we are so thankful for you!
Laura Pea Photography
Suffolk County based newborn and pet photographer, photographing Long Island's babies, furry or otherwise!
Getting to know my client and making them comfortable is key. I make sure to spend a little time getting to know my subjects before I start posing them. Swaddling a baby or taking a few moments to interact with a pet can make all the difference.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
For newborns, I ask about the baby's birth and any health issues they might have that I should be sensitive to. For pets, I like to ask about their temperament and if there is a specific way they should or should not be handled to make them the most comfortable and at ease during their session.
What do you love most about your job?
I love showing clients their images for the first time and seeing their happy and sometimes emotional reaction to their photographs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start in newborn photography because I have 13 nieces and nephews, so I know my way around a baby! I added pet photography to my repertoire in 2016 after I lost my beloved dog Basil. When he passed, I was so happy I had so many great photographs to remember him by, and I wanted to give that experience to the pet families in my community.
Why should our clients choose you?
I really care about people having high quality photographs printed and displayed in their homes. It's so important that your images live somewhere besides on your hard drive, which could fail at any time. All of my products are made with archival, museum quality papers and inks to last generations. I will do my absolute best to make sure you're happy with your images and that you'll have them for years and years to come.
