I'm accredited and certified as both an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (the internationally recognized coaching credentialing organization) and a Certified Professional Life Coach (CPLC) through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute. I'm also a Strengths Certified Champion® for CliftonStrengths.® I've completed over 130 hours of coaching classes and have been mentored by expert coaches. When you work with me, you're working with a trained, credentialed, competent, and experienced coach who values your time and seeks to provide the best coaching possible. I also offer coaching for those hoping to grow in their faith life. We don't have to agree about religion or faith or spirituality, but we can work together to help you bring more life, joy, and peace to your life. With a PhD in Religion and experience teaching Christianity at the university level, I'm used to working with people who are asking questions, seeking more, and desiring to incorporate faith into their life journey.
My name, Sandy (yep, that's my legal name) stems from "Alexander," which means "helper of humanity." I love helping people through coaching! It's a joy to watch people grow and learn more about themselves. I'm always amazed at how important it is to create space for people to reflect, think, and take time to listen to themselves. Each person's story is different, and coaching recognizes the uniqueness of every client. As I walk beside clients as a coach, I love listening, cheering them on, and encouraging them on their journey forward.
After leaving academia, I wanted to find a way to continue to help people grow and learn about themselves. Coaching seemed a great fit, since I already did informal coaching with students and colleagues. I started my own business because as a mom, I value work-life balance and flexibility.
Clients should choose me if they want someone who will listen carefully, cheer them on, and work with them to move forward. I offer clients space to explore what they want in life. My unique background as a certified coach, strengths coach, and former university professor in religion means I can offer a variety of services, from life coaching to strengths coaching to career coaching to spiritual formation—or any blend of the above. I understand work-life balance whether you're a career person, a homemaker, or something else, and I know that each person's story, goals, and desires are different. I offer a judgment-free zone for you to figure out how you want to move forward and find a more fulfilling, joyful, peaceful life.
I offer my services online and remotely through use of Zoom. If client prefers FaceTime, we can use that as well.
I offer remote services. If we are meeting in-person, we always have the option to go remote if one of us is sick or has been exposed to Covid-19.
