I've successfully navigated my own career changes, from software professional to clinical counselor and then to career coach, and retired from the 9 to 5 world a few years ago to put my energies into my retirement and career coaching practice. It's a way to pass on to others what I've learned in my own journeys.
I worked with hundreds of clients as a Master's level clinician before becoming involved in the coaching profession over 30 years ago; today, I'm a board certified coach and member of the Retirement Coaches Association. My own career experience has involved successful transitions to a different career (including obtaining university education in a different career) and a successful transition into retirement -- this makes me uniquely qualified to help others going through the same transitions.
I use Zoom for online meetings and sessions with individuals, couples, and groups. In addition, services can be provided over the phone, or in person in the Greenville, South Carolina area.
Moving the majority of sessions online using Zoom has been a big part of it. I find online meetings are preferable to masked in person sessions for at-risk clients because of the importance of facial expressions in communication. I have had both Pfizer vaccinations, as well as a recent booster. If a client and I do meet face to face, we can do so outdoors in nice weather or by practicing social distancing indoors.
