Highly recommend Cody and his business. He is an honest person of high integrity. We had an issue with the rescue dog we had adopted, she had developed aggresiveness toward our 2 children after about a month of having her, which was escalating. We had been trying to correct it ourselves for 2 months unsuccessfully, before contacting Cody. He spent 1 hour at our home for a free evaluation and we decided to try the training route with her to see if it could be fixed. When he returned back for the 1st training session, he had an honest discussion with us that she might not be trainable for her problem. That both our family and the dog may be better off with rehoming. He spent another hour with us, free of charge and refused any payment. It's not too often these days that you run into a situation like this, where someone is trying to help you, out of the goodness of their heart. He understands dogs and he understands people. I would not hesitate to use him for a future dog, that will be a better fit for our family. Our situation may not have ended up what we had originally hoped for, but this trainer gave us realistic expectations and has saved us from even more heartache and possibly worse in the future.

There is no one-size-fits-all training program, because your dog isn't like every other, your dog is well, yours. Often trainers will give advise without any considerations on how you can use the space you have, and that never made sense to me. I provide custom training plans that get you to your goals, that work with the space and resources you have; whether it's using things as platforms, or making a circuit.

I've had a very pleasant experience so far. Very nice and easy to communicate, also very flexible on setting appointments. My dog also likes the trainer a lot. We've been able to accomplish some results in just 2 appointments. He also helps you perfect the training method and is always ready to answer questions. Also as my dog doesn't know English commands, and he took it upon himself to learn some of them which was very thoughtful. Overall 10 out of 10 experience.

I reached out to Luke, having been referred to by one of his clients, with some concerns regarding my senior golden retriever. I was beyond impressed with his knowledge and expertise. Luke is a great communicator and an incredible trainer. I will be hiring him for all of my future dog training needs.

Susan Ward, CPDT-KSA, Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge & Skills Assessed Positive Reinforcement Training: Rather than punishing dogs for making mistakes, we reinforce them when they get it right so they WANT to get it right more often!

Susan is a phenomenal trainer. I have taken classes at many different facilities and with many trainers and I have never been so impressed. Susan is organized, has great communication, and her canine knowledge and experience are very apparent. She and her assistant, Rob, are a wonderful team and do a great job making both the dogs and the humans feel comfortable. I have taken all the classes they offer and loved them all. Their training is all positive and both my dog and I were excited to go to class. If you have a new puppy this is definitely the place to go!
I am Heather Christopherson, CCDT, a certified positive reinforcement dog trainer offering training sessions for you and your dog companion in your home. I provide training for puppies, as well as basic-to-advanced skills training and behavior modification for adolescent to adult dogs. I am also a Camp K9 trainer at the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club.
When used correctly, evidence-based positive reinforcement training is the most gentle and effective form of training. Positively trained pets are well behaved because they want to be, thanks to a bond built on trust. It’s Training Cats and Dogs values science, consent, safety, compassion, and choice, and rejects abusive dominance theory pseudoscience. Abby Hartman uniquely uses ethnographic research methods to help people and pets repair their relationships.
Many of us want to find a way to change our dogs' unwanted behaviors. At The K9Interpreter we use Dog Friendly, Positive Reinforcement training techniques to help us understand why and how this misunderstanding developed; and how to change it going forward.

I have now taken both of my dogs to Pack Leader, My terrier mix did OE1 and she is a much better dog because of what we both learned! I am currently bringing my Mini Aussie to Puppy Headstart. Joann has been very patient with getting him more socialized. I highly recommend either of these classes to anyone. Its very evident that she will do whatever she can to help you and your dog/puppy reach your goals.

Kish is an awesome trainer and Down Dog is the place to bring your dogs for training without question. She and her team are great coaches and are very attentive during class and are great resources for questions related to dog behavior. They are all dog people who want nothing but for you and your dog to succeed together. Class is fun and the skills you learn are really helpful for real life situations that will come up with you and your dog.

What an awesome place to take your fur babies!!! Torrey treats each and every dog like he would treat his own. He spends time with the dogs while they are away from their people. Making their stay more like a vacation in a home away from home environment. Torrey is a great trainer with many years of experience. He teaches owners to use only positive reinforcement when training your dog. Torrey is a valuable resource when looking for advice and information. I would highly recommend you checking out Torrey and Elite Canines for your training and boarding needs!!!

I love helping people develop a training plan that works with their lifestyle. I want them to learn how to think about their relationship with their dogs as an opportunity for a deeper, more meaningful bond and to brainstorm solutions to challenges that feel manageable and fun.
My business started and grew organically. Because I had worked in rescue for years with challenging foster dogs, I was asked to start offering classes for dogs that had been adopted through rescue. From there, Giffy dog began, and it has continued to grow since then.
Clients should choose me because I am the right fit for them, but I encourage them to explore other trainers, as well, so they know what's available. I am a certified Karen Pryor trainer who uses humane training methods to motivate dogs to want to work with their human companions. In addition, I use creative strategies to engage dogs and keep them engaged. I empower clients to advocate for their dogs and to work in partnership with their pet dogs. And I am certain we will have fun! Clients who think this sounds like a good fit should schedule an appointment with Giffy dog.
