In the right environment, therapy is a safe place to explore who you are and who you want to be. Once you’ve made your first appointment, we will meet at my office in Ft Lauderdale or talk over a HIPPA compliant video platform. I’ll have you sign forms so you are clear about what therapy involves. I’ll then do an assessment to find out what brings you here, what you believe to be the most pressing issue, and what else needs to be addressed and in what priority. We will set goals together. This will guide our sessions, with allowances made for whatever Life throws at you, as needed. Regardless of age or experience, we’re on a mission – together – to rediscover YOU. I’m going to ask you some hard questions, and grant you the space to answer them. I’m not here to define you, to tell you what’s wrong with you, or to insist who you should be. Your experience is yours. I’m here to help you make sense of it all, to uncover any perceived blocks and to discover the lessons in the losses. — to gain self-mastery. Change is the constant in life. You may not want change but it is happening. Imagine what it would be like to consciously change in the direction of what your heart desires. You can create anything. I’m here for you. Let’s start.

What do you love most about your job?

My mission is to assist each client in removing perceived blocks and revealing their authentic self. I want to transform the world one person at a time by encouraging a release from shame and fear into unconditional self-love.

My values are love, honesty, compassion, and integrity. This is what I live by. I don’t know any other way.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Psychotherapy, for me, is the creative practice of guiding others to remember who they are before past trauma convinces them otherwise. The study of psychology, and wellness in general, has been a very personal journey. I spent years quietly observing myself and others, eager to understand the source and manifestations of joys, pains, perceived limits, and motivations. By the age of 15, I was a black belt in tae kwon do and intent on pursuing psychotherapy as a career. I earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s from Pepperdine in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

For the first several years of my career, I was a child psychotherapist working with severely emotionally disturbed and traumatized children. Along the way, I became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist working primarily with children and families. While working with victims of domestic violence, I was driven to explore holistic therapies acknowledging the mind-body connection.

I make it a priority to always be learning and growing by attending relevant workshops and seminars each year. I have hosted many of my own, as well, when I ran community non-profits in Los Angeles and co-owned a holistic wellness center in South Florida offering alternative healing modalities including sensory deprivation, yoga, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, tai chi, qigong, an organic tea bar, and an herbal pharmacy.

I have seen the impact of my clients’ mental, physical and spiritual habits and practices across various aspects of life. By taking into consideration a person’s diet, fitness routines, daily habits, support system, and any spiritual practice, I can better understand how they live their lives.

Over my many years of practicing psychotherapy, I have honed skills in relational, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapies. I now work primarily with adults, specializing in relationships, divorce, communication issues, self-esteem, grief and loss, stress management, depression, and trauma. Together we locate the source of the issue and move through to a satisfactory end–without blame, shame, or regret. My goal with each client is to create a non-judgmental and caring environment so it is safe to share the full story of their life and what influences them. By doing this, we work together to optimize learning and growth.

It’s important to feel connected and comfortable with your therapist. I invite you to a free 15-minute phone consultation.

I am a member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals and am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in both Florida (MT3190) and California (LMFT39260).

Why should our clients choose you?

I love what I do. I am committed to helping my clients to live joyful and authentic lives.
