Taste of The Town Catering is a long time Tacoma caterer that has been in business for over 30 years. We have catered almost every type of event one could possibly think of. Our Venue is located in Downtown Tacoma where we have a commercial catering kitchen, full 50's diner themed bar, dance floor, full-size projector w/ screen, DJ spot, and a large seating area that holds up to 250 guests.

I have worked with X Group and their team for years on many events (ranging in size from 20 - 300 attendees). Â They always do an outstanding job! Â Their service and food are fantastic and complimented by guests many times for each event. Â They are on top of every detail and go above and beyond on all aspects. Â As an event planner I always look forward to working with X Group because I know that being part of an event team with X Group means that the event will be the best!

We recently held our wedding reception at the Pacific Grill Event Center and were blown away. Our contact (Rebecca) has been in constant communication over the last few months...and did an amazing job coordinating with the Marriott (where many of our guests stayed), Celebrity Cake Studio, and Adams DJ. By the time we arrived from our reception - the cake had been delivered, dj set up, etc. and we didn't have to lift a finger. We opted not to have a plated dinner...but rather ordered LOTS of passed hors d'oeuvres. Rebecca was fantastic about sending us ideas and responding to our ideas. When we asked for a keg of hard to find specialty beer (7-Seas) from a local brewer she told us she could get anything we wanted...and did. The evening was fantastic: the service, food, etc. at PG was all AMAZING. All of our guests were very complimentary of the food, and - especially - the staff. From the manager on duty to the bartender and wait staff - they were all nice and professional and very accommodating. Our reception was Saturday night, and by Monday morning I had a recap email from Rebecca waiting for me. Our guests hadn't drank all the wine we ordered - so we have a small refund coming our way. Aside from the service and food - the location was great. Having guests stay at the Marriott was super handy, and being next to the UWT, History/Art/Glass Museum, and Tollefson Plaza was nice for our guests.All in all, i wouldn't think twice about recommending PG Event Center.

Our signature dish is not just one dish, there are many amazing dishes we can create and all of them signature in there own way. Our goal is to make whatever dish requested by our guest signature to them because every person’s taste buds are unique.
To create the perfect menu for a client at first contact we get and understanding of the venue, service style, occupant count, budget, and date. Once those critical details are discussed we discuss food choices quantities, and prices. If all are in agreement when will arrange a tasting to guarantee satisfaction.
What we love about being in the food service industry is the freedom of being creative and and the joy it brings when it is delivered to that birthday, or wedding, or even just an office party. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing what we can create with our minds someone genuinely enjoys it.
Cooking has always been in my family big dinners every Sunday for years so I’ve always had a love for cooking . When I got in the school I tried every extra curricular you could think of, never truly enjoyed myself It wasn’t until the 10th grade that I joined an Ap cooking class and I realize this was my passion and from then on I haven’t stopped my life has been about food every since.
Clients should chose us because are delicate with the details, we listen to what they want so we can figure out what they need, we are very reliable, we get every detail and break down every number with clients. Clients will never be left in the dark. Our number one goal it to leave the client with a smile bigger than they had before we arrived.
To keep safe from covid-19 we continue to use food safety protocols including; gloves, sanitation, hair cover, no long nails,etc. Every staff member must wear a mask, temp check, and disinfect.(hand wash +disinfectant spray)
