Lancer catering did a phenomenal job at catering our wedding in June 2018 at Woodland Park Zoo from the initial planning meeting to the final event. I’ll admit, I am not the easiest person to work with and it was truly a pleasure to work with Lancer Catering. From the start, they were able to answer my questions, provide their own recommendations, and further provide detailed timelines and information that helped the big day go a lot smoother than anticipated. Their food was absolutely delicious, both on the tasting and the actual event. I received so many compliments from my guests that my wedding was one of the best weddings they have been to and I couldn’t have pulled it off without Lancer Catering. I highly recommend Lancer Catering at Woodland Park Zoo for any event, including a wedding as you will not be disappointed! I cannot say enough positive things about Lancer Catering.
Ambience is lovely, probably the best part of the experience. The chef is Moroccan. It's more Moroccan American fusion. The Moroccan specialties were great, the salmon was nothing to write home about. Not huge portions but satisfying. The signature cocktails were nice. Happy hour is 4-7!
Prime 6 is the perfect spot downtown to have excellent drinks and food while taking in the sights and sounds of Minneapolis. Their patio is the perfect spot to do some people watching and enjoy an excellent meal. Our group had sushi and steak entrees and all were excellent. The firecracker roll and the filet were amongst some of our favorites. Service was on point! Highly recommend Prime 6.
From the late '80's through the '90's, I ate at the old location at least a couple times a month, but hadn't been to the Market BBQ for nearly 20 years until today. The ribs (and seasoned wings) were every bit as good as I remember. The new spot is great and has same feel as the old place. If you believe ribs should fall off the bone, this is probably not your place. If, however, you believe ribs should have a bit of a "tug" and you like a nice dry rub, this is the spot! Servers and staff were as awesome as they were in the old days. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
Great sandwiches and they're quick about it, pleasant atmosphere and reasonable priced. For this first time visitor it was not clear how the line worked, but the staff was helpful in that aspect. I will definitely stop in again.
How many guests will you need catering for (approximately)?
What is the proposed date of the event?
Do you have any additional details
We are looking at a December 20th or 21st date of this year. We are thinking of a 6:30 p.m. ceremony followed by reception. (same place). We have not yet confirmed our venue. We are looking to offer appetizers/cake/drinks for our guests before the dance starts and during the dance. This is a second wedding for both of us, so we are looking to keep costs as reasonable as we can. We do not want a full sit down dinner and need to know if there are food/drink minimums. We are keeping the guest list to 125 if possible. 150 would be the absolute maximum. Thanks! Michele and Matt
