My work is more personal than what you will find at one of those massage in a box shops. I will take the time listen to my clients needs, wants, and desires. Meeting new clients and watching my regular clients transform their lives.

This guy is FANtastic. I came to Jack for help with lower back pain. After we focused that, he corrected shoulder tension I didn't even know I had. I feel like I have wings right now. Also, because the body is connected, that helped my lower back also. Aaaaaaand he politely recommended some easy exercises I could do to protect my back and prevent future pain. He was respectful, responsive And thorough. Class act. Definitely returning soon.

I’m a deep tissue specialist and do stretches for my clients. I care about the quality of my work so I only do 5 hours per day. I’m a solo practitioner. I have many Yelp and google reviews.

Incredible Massage. I rarely use superlatives, but it was probably the best I've ever had. Ella was extremely knowledgeable in bodywork, and could find all the knots in my back immediately. During my typical massage experience, I'd lie there and wait... and give the masseuse a verbal cue when they'd found the right spot that was tense / causing me pain (after a very trial & error process.) ....I don't think i gave her a word of direction. Ella did specific stretches for psoas & tband muscle groups along with offering me advice on stretching & routines i could do on my own to alleviate posture & inflammation issues (likely stem from sitting at a desk every day.) Â Pennyroyal was a 10. I'll be back again soon. Last Thing - shes running specials on her website while she ramps up her business, so id take advantage of those rates. I bet her client book fills quickly.

I have been seeing Joshua for close to a year. Â He has helped me recuperate from several minor injuries I have gathered over the years from dance and snowsports. He is kind and calm, which always helps me to relax and get the most out of the visit. Â He is very intuitive and is able to identify the source of my sore muscles, which is not always the muscle itself but often an imbalance in my hips. Â I have received massage and chiropractic roughly every 2-6 months for the last 10+ years to help with injuries and tension from a desk job from about a dozen different practitioners, and hands down I would recommend him first and without hesitation to all my friends.

What types of massages does a Massage Therapist offer?
Swedish massage - This is a gentle type of full body massage that is ideal for people who have a lot of tension, are sensitive touch and are new to massage. It can help to release muscle knots and is a good choice if you want to fully relax during your treatment.
Hot stone massage - Hot stone massage is best for people who have muscle pain and tension or who simply want to relax. The massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands.
Aromatherapy massage - Aromatherapy massages are best for people who want to have an emotional healing component to their massage. Aromatherapy massages combine soft, gentle pressure with the use of essential oils. Essential oils are diluted before being applied to the skin.
Deep tissue massage - Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems such as soreness, injury or imbalance.
Sports massage - Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you are prone to injuries because it can be used to help prevent sports injuries.
Trigger point massage - Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.
Reflexology - Reflexology is a great option for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. It is also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. Reflexology uses gentle to firm pressure on different pressure points of feet, hands or ears.
Shiatsu massage - Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain and tension.
Thai massage - Thai massage is best for people who want a more active form of massage and want to reduce and relieve pain and stress.
Prenatal massage - Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress and ease muscle tension.
Couple’s massage - A couple’s massage is a massage that you do with your partner, friend or family member in the same room. Other treatments such as pedicures, facials, and body scrubs are sometimes offered as part of a package.
Chair massage - A chair massage is best for people who want a quick massage that focuses on your neck, shoulders and back. A chair massage can also be a way to introduce you to massage if you have never had one before. This type of massage uses light to medium pressure.
What should I consider before deciding on my massage therapist?
There are a number of factors that are worth considering before choosing your masseuse.
Choice – It is important to consider why you want a massage. Do you want to find relief from chronic pain or are you just looking for a way to relax? Deciding why you want to get a massage will help you narrow down your options and find the right massage therapist.
Comfort- Getting a massage is a great way to relax both physically and mentally. It is easier to take advantage of this benefit when you feel totally comfortable. That is why you should find a massage therapist that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
Recommendations – You are likely to have at least one friend or family member that has visited a professional massage therapist and read their reviews on Bark.
You can be confident that any of the Bark local massage therapists listed will give you a relaxing and therapeutic massage.
How do I check the Massage Therapists’ credentials?
You could look for massage therapists with a Level 3 Diploma in Massage or Complementary Therapies. The Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) is the governing body for massage therapy and recommends that all massage therapists have taken a full or part-time course.
Before you choose a massage therapist, you could read testimonials and read details of their services on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read massage reviews from past customers too. This might also help you get some ideas for the type of massage you want to book.
