In addition to being a skilled magician, I am also a school teacher. I am very good at grabbing and holding children's attention. I don't do the standard tricks that other magicians do. I created all of the illusions that I perform in my show. I also create balloon animals that I give out to all of the children at no extra charge.
I have been into magic for over 50 years. When I was 12, I joined the IBM, The International Brotherhood of Magicians and became a professional magician performing for children's birthday parties. Often, the children at the party were older than me.
I begin with a dazzling display of sleight-of-hand to demonstrate my skill and dexterity. I incorporate a lot of clean humor to amuse and distract the audience. I proceed to dumbfound the crowd with baffling effects using everyday household objects. I avoid using gimmicks and wow the people with unique tricks that I created myself. I have lots of audience participation and specialize in close-up effects using rope, playing cards, and mental telepathy. I conclude my show with my "impossible" Triple Miracle. Immediately following the show, I distribute balloon animals to all of the children and children-at-heart.
I love how magic brings out the little kid in everyone. It gives me great satisfaction to see their faces light up and and totally blow them away with stupendous effects that defy explanation. Then, when I give out the balloon animals, they go crazy. I feel very lucky to have the ability to bring joy and delight to people of all ages.
My father, who is a Rabbi, came up with my stage name, The Astonishing Houdanny, informing me that Houdini's father was also a Rabbi. He bought me a lot of books on magic when I was just starting out. He also motivated me to become a professional magician and start my own business so that I could support myself by doing something I love while bringing so much pleasure to others.
I don't do the standard tricks that other magicians do. I created all of the effects that I perform in my show. I also mix in plenty of clean humor to keep them laughing while being mystified with jaw-dropping illusions. It is unlike anything you've seen before: a breathtaking and memorable, one-of-a kind experience.

While performing my show, I avoid direct physical contact with the audience. I also give them tips on how to keep their immune system strong to prevent Covid and other ailments.
