Cibini Magic and Entertainment

Fairfax

‘20 Certificate of Excellence

I offer elegant entertainment, either "walk-around" magic, mingling with your guests, or a "stand-up" magic show in front of your whole group. My performances combine subtle comedy and strong magic - geared toward adults rather than children. For other types of performances, I have a network of magicians and entertainers suited for many types of events. My brand of magic is great at breaking the ice among people at cocktail hours, corporate events, weddings, private parties or other similar events. I combine very strong magic with a healthy dose of humor. Despite being a polished entertainer, I never focus on my sleight of hand skill - the magic kind of happens around me, and I am just as surprised as everyone else. I am well educated, well traveled, multilingual, and can relate to many types of people. I have performed for cafes, golf courses, luxury hotels, corporations, and private parties in many countries in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. I also have a totally different show focusing on the power of the mind, i.e. superior memory, suggestion, reading body language cues, etc. (no magic tricks), appreciated by sophisticated audiences.

How long have you been interested in magic?

I began performing magic after the late Christian the Magician came to my school and changed his white gloves into fluttering doves in mid-air. My first performances relied on trial and error, but my family and friends have been supportive enough for me to pursue this hobby throughout my childhood and teens. The rest is history!

Take us through your show – what can we expect?

I combine subtle humor with strong magic, and treat all audience members with respect. I strive to leave audiences with a memorable experience, and have received great feedback! Many of my effects are original, and are not performed by other magicians - I offer a unique experience.

What do you love most about your job?

I distract people from their day to day problems, albeit for a short time, and give them something to look forward to. To be able to give adults a sense of wonder and joy is quite satisfying.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As I began performing more and more, I kept on getting more comments along the line of "you should quit your job and do this full time!", " do you do paid shows?", and "why haven't I seen you on America's Got Talent?" This encouraged me to seek out my first paid gig - a company holiday party. I was extremely nervous, I must admit, but I survived the ordeal (as did the company and its guests). I decided to try again, and I gained more confidence. Throughout the years, I also developed a network of trusted friends in magic who can always jump in to help if I am unavailable or if they have a different skill set. (For example, I rarely perform children's shows, but I can always find a suitable performer).

Why should our clients choose you?

From learning to play a client's favorite show-tune on the recorder and creating a trick based on that theme, to researching a difficult illusion, recruiting an assistant, and performing it flawlessly at another client's event, I always offer what the customer needs, and a lot more!
