Super friendly staff who are sweet to my 15 year old pup! I have a nervous dog, so we all agreed that they may not be able to trim his nails if he gets too stressed, but they were able to do it along with all the other services needed with no problem at all.

Instructors Chris and Jessica have turned me into a confident, skilled groomer. I always looked forward to coming to school as the hands on training was fun, safe and packed full of real life lessons. During my training I got to groom many different breds of dogs and cats like Standard Poodles, Schnauzers, Yorkies, Maltese, Scotties, Maine Coons, Himalayans, and even a Komondor. West Coast Grooming Academy instilled safety skills for both me and the animals. Which is something I know sets them apart from other schools. Honestly the best grooming salon I have ever been to. No one out there cares more about their customers and the dog’s safety than the owner Chris. He is an outstanding groomer as well as an amazing instructor. He makes sure that the dogs walk out with a beautiful cut and a wag in their tail. All of his students are required to put safety first before they even touch a dog, and that is what’s most important in a salon/school. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. More...

I have taken my dog to big pet stores to be groomed, small more expensive grooming boutiques. I have never been happy with how my dog has turned out. I meet Chris and WCGA had him work on my toy poodle, I have never been happier with how my dog looks not only is it more cost effective to go to WCGA but my dog loves to go, and everyone genuinely loves what they are doing and it shows from the moment you walk in. So if you are even on the fence about trusting your dog to WCGA, I'll say you have nothing to worry about except for being excited on when you get your dog back and see what great work has been done. Took the parenting class today with my Maltese. I learned a lot more about my dog than from any dog training course. Her temperament, how to properly hold her for nail trims & clipper use. I was doing it wrong. Chris took his time with all of us to make sure we understood the care of our particular breeds. From nails, to bathing, toothbrushing, ear cleaning, blow drying then haircuts. Haircuts took the longest because we had 3 different breeds in the class. I have a new appreciation for pet groomers. I feel comfortable grooming my 3 dogs  since I learned so much from this course. Today was our first visit and my ShihTzu, Bobby, was pretty matted around his tail and 4 legs & paws. He definitely required a lot of work and patience. And what I appreciated was the kindness and attention given to him and the way they took care of him. (And if they thought I was a terrible owner for not keeping up with his grooming, they never made me feel that way at all!) The prices are more than reasonable and the quality of work is exceptional. I was able to locate this grooming school right here close to me. I took Hanna in for a bath and full groom. I was pleased with the results. I am a graduate of the West Coast Grooming Academy and am now working as a certified groomer at the Pawlor/West Coast Grooming Academy. I have always loved dogs and decided to pursue  a job where I could spend time with them and learn more about them. I take my dog Lucy here to get groomed, and it is THE BEST. I feel just so strongly about how awesome these folks are. They always answer when you call, and they are super flexible on appointments. (I am the worst for making same day appointments, but WCGA is always great for that.) Lucy loves them, and she always looks great. Best of all, they are always running some great deal. So it's super convenient, very friendly, and inexpensive. That's an impossible find in any service, especially dog grooming. Give them a call. (Ask about the deals.) More...

Very happy with the attention that both my dogs , Riley and Boomer , were given. After the first two days attending the W.C.G.A. Academy, I was wondering what I was doing there!, I though that was not mine, be a pet groomer! , but as the days progressed I came to love what I was learning. Chris is an awesome teacher! I learned so much during his course and he was so helpful accommodating my schedule. The salon is very welcoming and he keeps you busy. The course is super hands on. If you show up and are serious about learning, you'll get a lot out of the class. One of the things I loved was that he works with the local humane society and you get to groom shelter pups. It's very rewarding. Chris is the type of person who wants to see you succeed and will be there for you even after you're done with the class.
