Understanding your client and your crowd. Pay attention to what is working and to what is not working as well. Keep the flow of music constant switching genres as needed. And don't forget to mix in a few slow songs from time to time to allow guests who really want a chance for a dance with their special someone to reach the dance floor.

I never try to dominate an event by talking over the music all of the time.

Question - How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love of music goes all the way back to my early childhood. I was in the High School Radio Club. I started writing and performing my own original music around that time as well. I started doing live sound as well. As I started building up all kinds of equipment I was asked to start playing music at parties. That was over 30 years ago.
Question - What types of customers have you worked with?
I pride myself in being able to work with and understand the needs of all my clients. From Large corporate events with over 500 people in attendance to a small intimate backyard weddings. They all want the same thing. A Dj who has the experience to allow thier vision of the event to become a reality.

Dennis was the ultimate professional and always responded quickly. He did everything to make sure we were comfortable in our dealings, which was hard since we didn’t meet until the wedding day. We left much of the dancing selection to him and my wife and I were very pleased with his varied selection. His uplighting was very pretty, and we’re glad to have purchased that option. Dennis is a great value and I have absolutely no reserves in recommending him and I would definitely hire him again.

"If I could leave 10 stars I would. Dennis was super responsive to questions/emails/phone calls prior to the event. He was exactly on time the day of the dance. His equipment and lights were impressive, and light show was better than expected! We hired him for an elementary school dance, and he had them incredibly engaged. He even made an appearance during the Conga line!. So patient with the kids and took every song request he could! I can't say enough about Dennis. I would 110% recommend him!!!
