Chef Boris Seljak was very knowledgeable and personable when we spoke on the phone, text and in person. As I made selections he suggested the best sides to go with the selected entre. When I needed to change the entre due to dietary restrictions he willingly made appropriate suggestions for side dish changes. He promptly responded to my texts and emails with little to no wait time. The evening of my 12 party dinner he set up the appetizers and prompted me to invite guest to come to the bar setting to partake of the appetizers. His intuitive suggestion let to guests interacting more with one another. At dinner, Chef Boris informed guests of the ingredients of each dish being served. He opened and served the wine we had provided and served juice and water to those who did not want wine. The meal was INCREDIBLE. Each dish had its own distinct and spectacular flavor. The serving sizes was more than we expected, but many guests cleaned their plates wanting to savor the delicious flavors. Feeling quite full after the meal every guest consumed the delectable and refreshing dessert. As guests conversed after dinner Chef Boris and his assistant (son) put dishes in the dishwasher and wiped all the counter space. The kitchen was spotless. It was a very enjoyable experience to have the service and expertise of Chef Boris. He gets top ratings from my guests and I. I highly recommend contacting Chef Boris Seljak (Sac Valley Gourmet Catering) for 'your' special event. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Chef Boris.
