I ask my clients a lot of basic questions to get the feel of them; however, mostly I losen them up with my sense of humor to get them to be themselves. It’s always good to have clients that are comfortable around you that can laugh and be themselves because it shines through in the lens.
I love being able to capture that moment in time and freeze it. One of my favorite events to cover is the daddy daughter dance for the military and it’s not something that they pose for. It’s real life that you capture. The heart felt smiles and love between a daughter and father is something that I catch in my camera and it’s the most amazing feeling ever.
My x husband believe it or not. He told me I would never amount to anything. As soon as he left I opened my own studio and made it official. I pushed myself further than ever before to learn more about photography to make myself stand out from the crowd.
Clients should chose me because the amount of time that I put in to perfecting the craft. The amount of heart that I have for the art. I won’t send a phot out until it is perfect. A lot of the struggles these families have today are ones that I myself have been through or are batteling on my own. It will be hard to find someone with as big as a heart as mine in today’s world. Our military families, I relate closley with being a disabled Veteran myself and also a prior military spouse - I understand their daily struggles
