When I had reached out to Melody, it was with less than 1 month left before my big day. I had a big plan orchestrated that had so many moving pieces - this required Melody to arrive an hour early, get on the ferry to Diamond Islands in Portland, hide on the boat until we boarded, and blend in before the big moment. If I say that Melody wowed us all on that day, it would be an understatement. Her willingness to go out of her way to accommodate my big plans was no big deal to her - she even was critical in helping me plan the moment! My (now) fiance and I tend to be a little awkward and uncomfortable when it comes to taking pictures. When shooting during the engagement and after, it was almost like that awkwardness was gone. It felt like a family member was there with us taking photos and everything was cool, calm, and casual. The level of energy she brought, her suggestions, and her investment in our happiness were all over the top. She wanted everything to be perfect, and it was. When we received the virtual photo album, we were blown away. The amount of value I received from this job was unprecedented. Unfortunately, we've since moved away from the Portland area, but we told Melody, and we insist, that if we're ever in the Portland area and need a photographer, we won't look elsewhere. I know that Melody would make us feel comfortable, bring the best level of energy, and deliver a finished product that far exceeds our expectations. I give my HIGHEST recommendation to anyone that needs a photographer, for any event, to please reach out and discuss with Melody. You won't find anyone else that puts the same level of attention, energy, and passion into your project.
