Dan was great to work with for our engagement photo shoot, which took place on the top of the Doe Mtn trail in Sedona. Dan provided lots of helpful information ahead of time. He arrived at the meeting location ahead of time and was there to greet us warmly when we arrived. Dan became an impromptu mountaineering guide, helping us get safely up and down the unusually snowy, icy trail. Dan guided us to the best spots for photos on the top of the mesa, capturing great images of us together before, during, and after our proposals (we proposed to each other at two separate locations). He kept us at ease and made the shoot fun with friendly conversation . The initial time agreed on was 1 hour. The total time required to go up the trail, do the shoot, and come down was 2.5 hours. Dan did not however expect any additional payment beyond what we originally agreed on, although we convinced him to accept a modest tip. He is clearly committed to both his clients and his photography.
