Dedication Dog Training

I am an evidence based and science informed trainer specializing in behavior modification, service dogs and real world obedience. I want to bring you functional training that works for your needs, builds your bond with your dog and expands your world in ways I bet you've not yet dreamed of. You tell me your wildest dreams, and lets talk about how we make that come true. I am a balanced trainer and use a combination of both negative and positive reinforcement techniques including but not limited to treats, praise, prong collars, and e-collars. I have a large toolbox of techniques having worked under many modalities in the last 15+ years, and I always treat every dog as an individual. Its about what makes your dog shine, while also bringing you reliability, trust, and strengthening your bond. We can have it all, no need to sacrifice one for the other. IACP Professional Member. NEPOPO Silver School Graduate. LGBT owned- come as you are.

What do you love most about your job?

The dogs! Of course. But also the feeling of helping a family, helping owners to repair the bond they have with their dog is truly special! Every time I hear from one of my clients that they were able to do that hike they always dreamed of or that their pup was a perfect gentleman at their house party, that's why I do this. Having an aggressive or fearful dog can be stressful, frightening, or shameful. Working with owners to ease that, to show them how to work with their dog is the best part of this job.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I saw a lot of dog training companies undertaking unsafe or unfair working practices, assigning far too many dogs to a single trainer or not giving enough time for each client. I wanted to do right by the dogs and by the clients. With that in mind, I take on only very few clients each month and work closely with the owner to make sure that our training works for you and fits into your life. Each month, I work with only two board and train clients and a max of 3 lessons clients to make sure that I can come up with strong lesson plans and personalized training.
