About

It’s not a dream. You can have a dog that’s well trained, comes when called, and greets guests politely. A dog that doesn’t take you for a walk, but walks casually by your side. Dogs who learn proper manners live happier and more fulfilling lives, and so do their owners.

We took our 3 yr old lab to Joshua and Devry. We did a 3 week board and train program. Our dog came back and was extremely well behaved. Our favorite things that they taught him was "place" (staying on a cot until released) and his loose leash walking. He was a nightmare sometimes to walk and also wasn't letting guest get into our door when they came over. These two pieces were key to having a much better life with our dog. They also gave us a 2.5 hour training once they dropped him off so that we can continue the training. Overall was very happy with our experience. We are looking forward to also getting a follow up session with them which is included in our program. Highly recommend these dog trainers! More...

Jevry is amazing. My daughter adopted a dog that was abused. A pit bull. I was terrified of this dog and it needed some serious training.  I was afraid the dog was too far gone and that no one would be able to train her or be willing to.  After a month with Jevry this is a much improved dog.  My daughter is coming home  over Christmas  break and I'm looking forward to meeting the dog that wouldn't even let me approach her without looking like she would hurt me if she got loose.    I'll update my review after I meet Ellie the pit bull post training. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the 4 week board and train with K9 Command and Jevry. Max is a 3 year old Pitbull that was reactive when people would try to pet him and overly excited on walks (Lunging to the end of the leash). Max stayed with Jevry at her house where she taught him many commands and helped to build his confidence in new situations. Max had anxiety when in busy areas. Jevry brought and trained Max at Green Lake often. This was so helpful for us because now he is able to go to parks and to other busy areas.  For the first time in years we are able to have a relaxed dog that listens to our commands. The commands that Max learned is sit and stay in place, lay down and stay, stay on cot until told command to be released, auto sit while walking and walk next to my side. All these commands have been very helpful when trying to provide structure in crowded areas or when new people are at my house. Max no longer barks at every person that passes by our house. I also had not been able to have people over to our house because of Max's fear of new people. Thanks to this training, I am now able to confidently bring new people around Max. I could tell from the updates and the condition of Max when he returned home that he was well taken care of and in a safe place. Jevry is very good at what she does and this experience was worth every penny. More...

Best investment I've made. Jevry did an awesome job with my pup. She took extra time and went a above and beyond really helping out my dog in areas she struggled. She was very anxious and hard to settle down making it hard for her to keep herself accountable. She would constantly whine and wouldn't listen outside of our home. She now knows and holds all her commands including new ones and with just slight corrections is exceeding our expectations. I highly recommend using K9 command for your training needs. They are able to get to know your dog and are able to pinpoint there individual needs to help target unwanted behavior. We now feel confident and are more trusting with her. She gave us the tools we need to help better our bond and relationship with our dog in order to keep a well balanced mindset not only for her but for us. We look forward to enjoying our dog in new places and really working with her to be the best dog she can be. Thank you K9 Command. More...

I am so grateful for Jevry and K9 Command! I can finally walk my Mini Aussie in public with ease. Before K9 Command’s Walk Doctor, my dog would be all over the place during walks. She was reactive to dogs passing by, even dogs across the street, and she would want to jump on every person to say hi. The constant barking and pulling was an issue to the point that I did my best to avoid as many distractions as possible during walks. I tried a lot of things to help make walking bearable, like using a front clip harness, avoiding people and their dogs, blocking her view, distracting her with treats or a toy... it just did not work. However, in just two short sessions of the Walk Doctor with Jevry, my Aussie transformed. She can finally walk next to me without reacting to what’s about to pass by and she’s less anxious overall - and I’m less anxious. Jevry is an excellent and knowledgeable trainer who produces results! I highly recommend her services to anyone. More...

I cannot recommend Jevry and Joshua at K9 Command enough! We have a very anxious German Shepherd mix who was reactive to all dogs and cats when on leash. She would also attack the fence and windows at our house whenever she thought another dog was outside. After trying positive reinforcement training only for the first 2 years of her life with little, if any difference, we finally got fed up and did research on other options. K9 Command is who we ended up deciding to work with and the results have been amazing! We now can walk past other dogs on the sidewalk with no reaction (used to have to cross the street), she doesn’t bark at dogs walking by outside the house, and she is calmer in general. We used to think she had this insane amount of energy, but I believe that was her anxiety. At training they teach the dogs to walk appropriately on lead and while this was never a huge issue for us, it is so nice to have your dog walk calmly next to you and sit when you stop. She doesn’t even try to chase squirrels anymore! Also, they teach the dogs the “place” command which has been a lifesaver. Our friends come over and she always used to run up and jump on them. Now we have her in “place” when people come over and she stays there until we release her. It is amazing and our guests really appreciate it! Our friends and neighbors comment on how incredible the transformation is. She really seems like a happier dog now, and we love being able to take her places with us without worrying that she will bark and lunge at other dogs! More...

This program was life changing for us and our dog Poncho, who struggled with anxiety and fear-based aggression. Before coming to K9 Command, our pup had attacked a dog unprovoked and had bitten several times - we didn't know if we'd be able to keep him in our family. .. after a 4-week board and train program, Poncho is responsive to our commands and no longer poses a threat to those around him because we know how to mitigate his anxious/protective tendencies. Overall, he is a happier, more balanced dog, who responds incredibly well to us. My husband and I couldn't be more grateful for these tools - thank you Jevry and Joshua!! More...

Jevry did a 4 week board and train with our dog Auvi. Auvi was very scared, not confident and reacted aggressively towards people and other dogs when afraid. Jevry was able to help build Auvi's confidence and provide him with much needed structure. After the board and train was complete, Jevry came to our house and showed us how to continue the training and structure at home. My husband and I were amazed by the transformation in Auvi's behavior and attitude. He, for the first time, had a calm mind and wasn't constantly watching "over his shoulder". Shortly after Auvi was home with us, we had our first baby a little early. We ended up in the hospital for a while and Jevry was able to take Auvi back on a board and play bases for the duration that we were in the hospital. She's been an amazing support and resource for our family and we can't thank her enough. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs direction and help with a difficult dog. More...

We highly recommend Jevry as an outstanding dog trainer. We were having early difficulties with our puppy learning commands, resource guarding, biting and getting way too excited, almost to the point of being aggressive with other dogs and people. We now have a completely different puppy who is relaxed, follows instructions, thinks before he acts, became house trained, and stopped resource guarding and biting. We feel like the early training will set up healthy habits for a long term super positive relationship with our new member of the family. Thank you Jevry! More...

I can not recommend K9 Command/Jevry enough. She took my large, very protective dog for 2.5 weeks and taught him that he is no longer in control and there are expectations. This translated into a much more confident dog that was no longer barking, lunging and snapping at dogs and people. When he returned home, she gave very specific guidelines and expectations of me as well. It's not always easy, but I can tell you it's been the best money I've spent on my guy. I can not express enough gratitude for Jevry and all of the information and training skills she has shared with me and my Bruno! Bruno spent 2 weeks at board and train with Jevry and I was very nervous about sending him away. I was skeptical about the training process and of course the cost! But it has been worth every dollar! Before training I couldn't bring Bruno for walks or take him in the car because he would pull me in every direction (he is 80+ lbs) and would show aggression towards dogs people even kids  and at home he thought he was the boss and wouldn't listen to anything. He's a big sweetheart with me but it got to the point where I couldn't bring him anywhere.. I made a tough choice to take a step to give him a better life and Jevry made that possible for us  she takes training serious and is very informative she helped me see where I was making mistakes and even shared a book with me (The good dog way) that made me see my mistakes as a dog-mom! She helped me and my bruns to have a better life together and she continues to answer all my questions and share her knowledge with us  we still have work to do with Bruno but I am confident that Jevry will help us get to where we want to be!
