I was inspired to start my business because I had a crazy dog who really needed help! I quit my existing business to spend more time with her, and out of that a new business was born! I realized that there were a lot of dogs like mine who were great dogs, but they had behavior issues that often resulted in them losing their home, or worse. I knew we could do better, so that became my mission, helping dogs and their humans live a happier life together.
I have been training dogs since my early teens, starting as a puppy raiser for the Seeing Eye Foundation. I started doing it professionally in 2006. I have studied with countless industry leaders, but my best qualifications come from the dogs and the families that I have helped. Every dog and every situation is different, it's important to be able to conform the training to the individuals involved. To do that takes countless hours of experience with many dogs studying and perfecting the craft and the art of dog training. Learning all of the methods, the tools, the psychology, and most importantly, the ability to connect with and communicate with the dogs. And that's just the beginning! The human half of the equation is equally important and sometimes even more so. It's one thing to be able to train a dog, but unless you can coach the dog's people, training will fail. My background in customer service and human social behavior has been invaluable to me in my current business. I'm a personal trainer for your dog, and a relationship counselor for all of you!
We offer private lessons, both in person and virtually. We also offer hybrid training options, sending the dog to us for the day or boarding for an extended time while we train your dog, then following up with private lessons for you. Our virtual training is available for individuals and well as group sessions.
