We begin a training program with an evaluation. The evaluation takes about 1 hour; the trainer comes to your home and is able to observe any behavior problems the dog may be exhibiting and speak with the owner/family about the type of training needed/wanted.

I used to work at a board and train facility when I first started working as a dog trainer. Having to strip the dogs of everything they knew for 2-3 weeks and put them in a foreign environment with people they didn't know didn't feel right to me. Training was done far from the home and most of the time we couldn't address certain problem behaviors because of this. When I moved to Florida, I decided that I could bring the training to the dogs. This way it is more realistic, and we could customize programs to whatever the family would benefit the most from! This has been my favorite way of training!
