Taylor is one of the best humans I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Not only is she great with the dogs, but the way she treats and includes everyone in our family is really nice. Most importantly she has transformed our scared, untrusting and insecure Remy into a more secure and happy boy. He's growing in confidence with each lesson. Since he was so scared - Taylor worked with us to develop a training package that was "Taylor-Made" just for him. The way she started out so gentle and slow with him and how she's brought him along to where he is today - he will now allow people from outside our family to pet him! I reached out to Taylor to help us with our crazy puppy. We didn't know how to train our stubborn bloodhound and we had to do something. Taylor came and did a consultation and then at our next meeting detailed out a plan tailored to our specific needs and she got straight to work. We had a very hard time walking our girl and she was just way to wild for our family. We started one on one lessons and its been extremely helpful! We can finally have peaceful walks! Before Taylor our pup would drag us down the street and she did as she pleased. Now our pup walks by our side and barely flinches at passing dogs. AND our pup walks with her head up instead of following her nose. Train the trainer. I’ve had experience with GSD so getting a puppy was not a concern but then cancer came into the picture and my focus had to change. Taylor gave my girls the structure and confidence to be the super pups that they are! My 5.5 y/o Frenchton and 1.5 y/o GSD needed help with different issues. One is super protective, and one needed a little confidence boost. I got a little training too, and I can now communicate with my girls and get immediate responses. What do you love most about your job?
My favorite part of my job is the smile on owner's faces when their dog is finally obedient. My main goal through TMK9 is to improve my client's relationships with their dogs. At the end of the day, it isn't about making sure your dog listens to me, it's about ensuring they will follow your lead and listen to you. I open up a new method of communication with your dog in a fun and exciting way to get your bond to strengthen and make them WANT to work for you! The more motivated your pup is, the better they will behave.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to work at a board and train facility when I first started working as a dog trainer. Having to strip the dogs of everything they knew for 2-3 weeks and put them in a foreign environment with people they didn't know didn't feel right to me. Training was done far from the home and most of the time we couldn't address certain problem behaviors because of this. When I moved to Florida, I decided that I could bring the training to the dogs. This way it is more realistic, and we could customize programs to whatever the family would benefit the most from! This has been my favorite way of training!

The reason you should get your dog trained by Taylor Made K-9 Solutions is simple, complete transparency. Everything I do with your dog is right in front of you, and I explain what is happening before I do it. My goal is to teach you how to maintain your dog's training, so you will know absolutely everything that is going on. I understand that our dogs are our babies, so I make training fun and fit seamlessly into your schedule.

I can provide some lessons via Zoom, but it is best we have a few in person lessons first so I can meet your dog and get to know their behaviors a little more. Doing this will ensure that I am giving you the best advice possible and am not making any suggestions that could set you back.
Proactive Puppy Prep
My puppy classes are designed to set you and your puppy up for success in and out of the home, as well as for future training. My mission is to help your puppy develop a strong foundation while helping you build a positive dog-owner relationship. This program is four weeks long, the lessons are held once a week over a one-hour period. Throughout the four weeks we will go over puppy parent education, basic obedience, manners, crate training, proper and safe socialization. This program is open to all puppies under 6 months in age.
Level One
The “Level One” package is on-leash only. At the completion of the program your dog will know:
-Sit: sit with an implied stay until released
-Down: down with an implied stay until released
-Place: get on platform (i.e. bed, blanket, place board etc) keep all four paws on it, and
an implied stay until released
-Heel: on left or right (owners preference) walking next to you with a loose leash, no
pulling or sniffing. We will also work on any reactivity issues on leash.
-Free: free from commands, your dog can sniff, potty, greet people and dogs, etc.
This program is Monday-Friday for 2 weeks, totaling 10 training sessions. Each session will be 1-2 hours in length, depending on the dog's age and travel time for field trips. This program includes all of the above commands, focus on impulse control, relationship building and a prong collar. Upon completion of the program, I will provide a lesson going over proper use of the prong collar, how to correct, and how to problem solve with reactivity.
Level Two
To access the Level Two program your dog must first pass either the Proactive Puppy Prep or Level One programs, or be evaluated and approved to bypass the other programs.
The Level Two package is an off-leash program that includes all of the above behaviors as well as a recall. All commands will be performed off-leash with the assistance of an E-Collar (E-Collar is included in the package).
This program is Monday-Friday for 2 weeks, totaling 10 training sessions. Each session will be 1-2 hours in length depending on the dog's age as well as travel time for field trips. This program includes all of the above commands, focus on impulse control, strengthening commands, relationship building and an e-collar. Upon completion of the program, I will provide a lesson going over proper use of the e-collar, how to correct, and how to problem solve with reactivity or stubbornness.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to get the training you want while building your relationship with your dog. Lessons are one hour per week, over a six-week period. In these lessons, I will teach you how to train sit, down, place, and heel commands, as well as working on problem behaviors such as jumping, barking, running out the door and counter surfing. I will walk you through each phase of training; learning, correcting, proofing, and maintenance training to ensure your dog will perform these commands reliably on leash. This program is great for owners who have the time to work on training daily throughout the program.
