Emil did our small wedding April 16,2016. I did a lot of searching around for a dj and even decided I wanted to do it ourselves, which would save us a lot of money. I found Emil on Craigslist, and I don't regret a second since we made contact!Emil was very sweet, very professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. He did everything he could to make sure we had the perfect day, and he was very successful. He would judge the room based on our reactions to songs and kept us on our feet despite the heat we experienced. Emil even came on the dance floor and was dancing with us! I had the most amazing experience working with Dax to set the scene for my wedding last month. There is literally no one else I would recommend over Dax Entertainment if someone is looking for a DJ, Lighting and Party expert in the North Bay. Not only was Dax responsible for the amazing music (EVERYONE who went raved about the music our DJ was playing) but he also created the perfect mood for the night. He brought in uplighting that accented the gold tones and modern look of our Barlow Venue during dinner time and had party lighting when it was time to turn things up on the dance floor. Dax also was able to string light the outside patio of our venue to bring the party outside. Dax is professional, detail oriented and was early to every single meeting we had. He was a logistics pro when in came to figuring out how to work with the existing electrical at the venue and made sure that we weren't going to overload the power during the event. On the day of the event, Dax's colleague Dustin was there to make sure that our bridal party of 11 people were all lined up and giving us our cues for our grand entrance. There are so many options when it comes to DJ's, but if you want someone who is quality, honest, super-easy going but totally fun, you have just found your team. I have a really fun style of mixing Hip Hop and 90s 00's throwbacks with '60s and '70s songs or newer House music. I want to make sure that everyone from every age group can have a great time. I can mix just about any genre of music though and make it into a superb time!
I love that I get to make people happy while I'm doing something I would have never considered a career option when I was young. Its a great feeling but the best part of DJing is coming up with some awesome transition between favorite songs that I hadn't thought of before in the middle of a set and watching everyone hear it and get excited and start to dance harder.
I was so tired of always feeling like I was making someone else's dream instead of my own.
