It's Feb.2023 ... I have a Iphone 11, bought new from major cell provider. That said... looked up yelp for local repair shops. Evolv is downtown and 5 star. Unlike so others. Short of it....He replaced the charging port ( 1 year warranty ) . Went to charge it that night.. same problem, no charge...water detected. Mad as hell next day I show up with a new charger and a month old one. Both with their charging cords. Told him the problem. He showed me the chargers were fine.. the cords are krap. Bought a much higher cord from him and works fine. Told me these cheap charging cables are the reason for the port failing and needing to be replaced. I now agree and will stand up for him anytime. Price is less then apple. Shop is nothing to write home about, thats okay. Good prices, warranty, great service. Solid stand up man. Better yet a man of Honor. I'll be back if I ever have a computer problem. Quit looking around and go to him !!

We are happy to service all standard PC’s including desktop and laptop computers, Macintosh computers in most cases, as-well-as some notebooks and tablets. Friend of a Friend Computers was started because we recognized a need for affordable computer service. The price of computers and laptops have come down so quickly, that it no longer makes sense to pay $400 for a repair, on that $500 laptop you bought last year. On that same note, however, throwing it away is not a very appealing option either. We set out to build a computer service company that could leverage today’s best technology and business practices to deliver the computer services our customers needed at a price that was in-line with the new, lower, cost of technology. I love to change people's perception of what a computer repair experience can be.
Most people dread it since the process usually involves a person with zero people skills mocking them for not knowing what they're doing.
It then concludes with a bill that is generally more than the cost of a new computer!
I don't expect you to know anything about computers, that's MY job!
I don't ever surprise customers with a bill, they always know what it's going to cost BEFORE they decide to move forward.
All-in-all it is the best experience one can have, while facing a broken computer.
I used to repair computers for friend and family. Then I started repairing the computers for a Friend of a Friend, and their friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
I awoke one morning to head off for my normal 9-to-5 job, and realized I had amassed 8+ hours worth of computers to fix.
Why on earth shouldn't I just stay home and fix them... so I did!
