Celebrated my wedding reception here. It's in downtown Columbia, but it is peacefully tucked on a hill in the back of a neighborhood which means no ambient noise or traffic. The manor still maintains some historic charm despite that it is now used for modern occasions. They have a bunch of neat rooms to spend time catching up with individual family members and guests, and the event space accommodates dinner and dancing quite well!

It didn't take me more than a second to see that my daughter had made a tremendously right decision in choosing L and M to cater incredibly fine food for my husband's Going Home event when he joined his Heavenly Hosts. My daughter's decision was beyond trust. LaShona Patton-Jones listened intently to my daughter's request -- "Something simple," daughter said. "Finger foods for 50." But there was also wine and beer, fruit and shrimp wrapped in pasta. Also, greens, carrots and desserts, chicken, beef and joy and delight at the end of the Celebration of his Life. Listening and understanding the needs and desires of the order are imperative. Discussion on both ends is necessary for the caterer and the purchaser. Add to that the fact that both L and M know how to cook -- for real -- and offer their absolute best. Ours was a simple request, but my understanding is that if something is edible, L and M can make it. American, Jamaican, Chinese, Mexican, Italian. Daughter made an excellent choice. And the next time I need a caterer, I know exactly who to get in touch with -- again.

Lovely place. Some friends & I went there after work one day to have some dinner and drinks. It was a saturday evening. We came in, the girl behind the bar said you can sit anywhere you like, I'll be right over. She came over in less then 2 minutes after taking care of the people at the bar. She was very polite and well groomed. She took our drink order and then came over and gave us menus, she pointed out several items on the menu she recommended and also suggested appertizers. We ordered food and it was delicious. Then the crowd started coming in. Very diverse but good. The place is clean and fun. I suggest this place for a fun night out or even a cozy dinner spot. You will feel like your at home. I recommend this place. We will be back this weekend.
How much does a Caterer cost?
Your expert caterer will be able to advise you on the most suitable menus and service.
What should I look for when choosing a Caterer?
It is important to know the following before deciding on a catering company:
Event Specialists - Many caterers handle certain types of events on a regular basis, such as weddings and corporate events.
Different cuisines - Caterers might specialise in different kinds of cuisine. Some caterers may provide a fine dining experience while others excel at barbecues that suit company picnics.
Special requirements - If you have special requirements for the food or a specific menu in mind make sure your caterer is happy to meet those requirements.
Venue - Your gathering might be taking place at someone’s home, a venue or outdoors. It can be helpful if your caterer has worked at the venue before.
Tastings - Ask for a tasting to make sure the food is of a high standard. Most caterers will prepare one for you at no charge, allowing you to assess the quality of their cooking before you hire them.
How do I check a Catering Company’s credentials?
You could look for caterers with a foundation degree, higher national diploma or degree in Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts.
Before you choose a caterer, you could read testimonials and see pictures of their food on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers, too.
