I just had the pleasure of meeting with Tom, and it was very enlightening. While the services I'm after didn't align with the services Sanctum Design offers, Tom still took his time to explain things in an easy to understand way, so I could still move forward with a basic working knowledge. When is the last time you had someone take their time to provide exceptional service, even after they reached the realization you wouldn't be hiring them? That speaks volumes about Sanctum Design in my book.

I am in the beginning stages of planning to build an extreme modern concept home out of 40’ High cube Shipping Containers that will be off-grid, and Mr. Baldwin and his assistant, Dee, were able to show me a 3-D foot print and front elevation of the home I am planning with them. So looking forward to working through this process as they are really easy to talk with and offer cost-effective suggestions to help me through the process. I am very confident they will make this transition to my final home and my dream home, after moving 16 times in my life, as enjoyable and as easy as possible. I am happy they are in my corner!
I was living in a condo with a fantastic little back porch with a swing and a view of the world going by, when life circumstances changed such that I had to move to a new place with no place for the swing and no view. So I called in Keri.
The new place has a very small porch-ish area, too small for a swing and a couple of chairs, but on the plus side, it flows indoors into sunny, porch-size room with high ceilings and huge windows. Could we bring the outdoors inside somehow? Could I have my swing indoors? Google “couch swing” to get a flavor of where we were starting.
Keri found someone to build my swing from parts of an antique oak bed with fancy carving on the headboard. She took care of all the upholstery for the swing seat and pillows. As she sent options for wall art, eventually a primeval theme for the room emerged. We spent several hours shopping at Pike’s to get both the sunroom and small porch outfitted with a forest of plants. So here is where we ended up:
The outside porch has a handmade wrought iron bench that Keri got on Craig’s List, rehabbed, and painted. There is now a forest of large winter-hardy blooming perennial shrubs, some of which sit on the bench, on the little porch. When I sit on my new one-of-a-kind couch swing inside, I see through my huge windows and glass door to my new forest.
The couch swing in the sunroom is hanging from an 11’ ceiling, elegant and rustic at the same time. The wall art is painted and sculpted fossils. The indoor plants are ferns, bromeliads, and orchids. The rug features a starburst pattern that represents the beginning of time.
It’s 20 degrees outside today. If I were back at my condo, I wouldn’t be able to swing on my back porch. Today I am here in my new sunroom, and I can swing anytime I want. Thanks, Keri!
Where can I begin? I have had the opportunity to know Jeffrey for over a year now. He is passionate and is a perfectionist about his work. In fact, he goes beyond being “just an architect” to being a design artist while taking into account a safe environment, sustainability, creativity, the clients’ pocketbook and more. In addition, he provides “big firm” services within his personal and caring studio from architectural design to construction services to interior and custom furnishings. A one-stop shop with creativity, passion, precision and caring!
I hired William to do the architectural design and plans for a renovation with addition, in Decatur.
I really appreciated William's eye for design and attention to detail. He thinks several steps ahead throughout the design process. All of the construction contractors that saw William's plans remarked at how thorough and detailed he was. For all of the subs, all of their questions could be answered by simply referring them to the drawings. Further evidence of his thoroughness was how quickly the building permit ran through the county permit office (less than a week!).
It deserves mentioning as well, how easy it has been to work with William. He takes the time to listen and does his very best to accommodate while offering his own insights along the way.
I would highly recommend him for any architectural design work you're considering.
We engaged Principle Builders Group to do a massive renovation on our 110 old year craftsman. We literally cut the back of our beloved home off, dug a hole (for a wine cellar) and built an addition that gave us our dream kitchen, master suite and extra space for a play room. We were very hands-on during the project and they worked with our need fori nformation. What we ended up with was better than what we imagined. You cannot tell where the old and new parts of the home intersect. In addition, they do beautiful new builds. We highly recommend them and would use them again (although I don't think I have another renovation in my near future - LOL)
We hire Danny to help design our office build-out and he produced plans of a creative quality that exceeded our exceptions and for a very reasonable price. He was delightful to work with and we would surely hire him again. We strongly recommend Danny for professional architectural services.
Ann took our confusing and leaky deck and reconfigured it so we could really use it in a way that made sense for our family, adding stairs in the perfect spot, taking advantage of the sunshine when we wanted to lay out and gave us plenty of room to enjoy the grill area. What a vast improvement!
