The secret is the have the subject, whether that is a couple or a family, act natural. To forget that I am there and there is no camera, laugh and enjoy the company. When there are true emotions captured, that is when the photo is a great one.
I would firstly ask what the client is looking for in terms of style of photographs, then move onto if they have a specific location that they would like to use, or if they have any props they would like to have involved. It is always important to ask exactly what the client has pictured in their head and then work my hardest to make that a reality.
I love capturing moments. It's like being a time traveler, you see these moments in real time and then get to experience them over and over again right when you look at your phone or the photo on the wall. I also love that photography lets me meet so many new people that I would have never met otherwise.
I began shooting landscapes and wildlife and got into people photography shortly after and quickly realized that I had the skill to start making my own business out of it. I knew that if I could make the business work, then I would be so much happier doing photography as my job than anything else.
Clients should choose me because I am still starting out in the business world and love giving the clients so much more than they expected. I love to give every single shoot my all and allow myself to be creative and find the style that best suits the clients.
