Laurel Saunders
Karmen is one of my oldest friends and one of my favorite memories was her sitting down with me after some significant health challenges and her writing out several supplements that would be beneficial for me to take and how I would benefit from them. She took the time to explain how they worked and what they would improve. At that time I had no knowledge about nutrition, but now as a nurse, I recognize the importance of proper nutrition on a holistic body. I have known her and her family for over 20 years and her character and integrity would make her my first choice for advice on nutrition and health.

Is your health making your life less livable? If you are experiencing pain and inflammation, and have not been able to resolve these issues with a physician, you may be suffering from delayed food or chemical hypersensitivities. These issues can manifest as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), an autoimmune disorder, migraine/headaches, as well as other disorders including chronic abdominal pain, diarrhea or other digestive issues, and many others. Utilizing a functional and integrative approach and the Mediator Release Test (MRT)/LEAP diet protocol your debilitating symptoms may be reduced in as little as 10 days. In addition to food sensitivities, I also provide nutrition counseling for weight loss or gain, diabetes, special diets including the ketogenic and low FODMAPs, celiac disease, reflux/heartburn, and other nutrition related concerns, all customized for the healthiest you. Just want to get your health on track for health and longevity? I'm ready to assist! I am a registered dietitian nutritionist passionate about nutrition and health. Call today and nourish your life!
Diet is one of the cornerstones of health and wellbeing. Would you put propane in your car's gas tank, or give a dog rabbit food? Our bodies likewise need specific nutrients in the form of food to be in optimal health.
What I love most about my job is that I can custom design a plan for each of my patients to achieve the health goals that they desire. My favorite part is hearing how good patients feel after they have made lifestyle changes, and sometimes the surprise that they have realizing that they feel this good without using medication to get there.
When I learned of the LEAP eating protocol using the Mediator Release Test (MRT) for food sensitivities I was inspired to work with patients in private practice so that I could have the freedom to recommend food sensitivity testing for those with chronic illness. Once I had my first patient my love of my job grew exponentially as I worked with her to figure out the underlying causes of her chronic disorder. I am by nature a problem solver and so this type of work is perfect and very satisfying for my personality.
I am passionate about what I do and strive my very best to help my patients reach their health goals. Nutrition is a second career for me and comes with a lifetime of interest in the field. By the time I decided to get a masters degree in nutrition I knew it was my passion and wanted to share that with others. I am also a life learner and am constantly studying my field, learning and growing so that I can be better equipped to help my patients achieve their health goals.
