Flat Fee Structure
For starters, we rarely invoice by the hour. No one likes surprises when it comes to money…and neither do we! In most cases, projects are specified on a flat-fee, all-inclusive basis. This saves time and adds value to your project: you don't have to be concerned about the meter running and we don't have to devote a lot of time to paperwork. It's a win-win! After our initial consultation, we determine a flat fee for your project based on the best solutions for your project.
Concierge Level Service
Another difference: Our compensation is based upon how much or how little service you choose for us to provide. You’re not required to purchase readily available home furnishings from A&J. All components of your project will be specified in the design proposal – you may purchase from anyone you choose – or use A&J Interiors’ recommended vendors; it’s entirely up to you! We respect your busy schedule and your budget so we establish private Pinterest boards for collaboration when the time suits you. In many cases, suggested items can be purchased from the vendors via a “click” from your Pinterest board. In other cases, we bring samples to your home to view in your own space with your own lighting. If there are items that require you to visit a showroom or store for final selection, we will do that in a manner that respects your time.
When fully custom items such as window treatments are required, we provide a flat fee that includes the design and all materials.

A&J will schedule single consultations to help solve those dilemmas. (This option is also available for contractors, painters, or other design professionals who just need some “collaboration time.”) A&J’s service area includes the New York metropolitan area.
