Front Stoop Pocket Gardens is an ecologically focused landscape design and garden maintenance business, specializing in native plant species.
My work allows me to connect with the land and facilitate that same connection for my clients. With the work that I do, I feel that I am having a positive impact on the world around me. I find every day that there is more to learn—I feel blessed to work in an industry that allows for constant self-improvement.
I have always wanted to have a positive impact in the work that I do. After leaving my internship in 2016, I realized that I wanted to work with native plants, to create healthy ecosystems. Unfortunately, I could not find job positions near me that allowed for those goals. It inspired me to try to experiment, and create my own position and my own business. I started out selling container gardens at craft fairs and farmers markets—using native plants—and from there, branched out into gardening and then into landscape design.
I am passionate about my work and I enjoy collaborating with clients to create something truly unique and sustainable. Ecological principles inform my work and my horticultural background gives me a strong understanding of plants.
Landscape design and consultations can be provided virtually/remotely, however a site visit in person is always recommended for best results.
Gardening services are performed on site, but the client is not required to be present.
