I'm one of those people that plans everything down to the very smallest detail. When I decided to get a puppy I did several months of research finding the right breed for me. When I decided on a German Shepherd I was so excited. I specifically wanted a male long coated red and black GSD. That was my plan. I found Joe and the Guardian Kennel soon after that. I quickly put a deposit down for the first pick on the litter of my dreams that was highly likely to produce the long coated male I wanted. Unfortunately, disaster struck and the mother of my pup passed away along with her babies while pregnant. Of course I was devastated. Joe let me know right away about what happened and was honest from the start. We talked through some other options and he helped me choose another litter that he thought I may like. I ended up with a Blue and Tan short haired male that I named Oskee. He is the most wonderful, and beautiful dog I've ever had and I could not be more thankful for Joe and his kennel for showing me that everything happens for a reason. Oskee is my puppy soulmate and I could not be happier.

Pawsitivelee Animal Training is started by Eliza Lee, who has, for the past 9 years worked professionally with animals from marine mammals to arboreal animals. Her specialty lies in using positive reinforcement methods to train animals. Eliza is CPDT-KA certified and has sworn to use LIMA as a basis for her approach. Pawsitivelee Animal Training focuses on communication between animals and their humans to build good relationship and better understanding.
People & Pups uses positive reinforcement training only. I don't focus on dominance, but leadership. By training this way, not only will you notice a difference in your dog's behavior over time, you will improve your relationship with your dog. I am Kim Jukes, the owner and trainer for People & Pups. I am a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College. I am also a certified Dog Bite Prevention educator, Canine Good Citizen evaluator and Pet Dog Ambassador Assessor. I volunteer at Fuzzy Friends Rescue, the Humane Society of Central Texas, Austin Boxer Rescue and Akita Rescue of Northwestern PA and have seen the benefit of training on the dogs there. I enjoy my work with rescues and would enjoy the opportunity to help you with whatever frustrations you may be experiencing with your dog. I have 5 dogs of my own and know the trials of having a multi-dog household. I also understand that not everyone needs to have more than one dog. Please feel free to reach out to me and schedule an appointment.
I love helping people improve their relationship with their dogs. It's very satisfying when a dog becomes a happy member of their family and frustration is removed from the relationship.
My own dog, Joy, is an extremely reactive dog. I was, myself, looking for a trainer that could help us and when I found none in my area that I felt comfortable could help me, I decided to get certified and do it myself so I could help others that were in similar situations.
I am always updating my knowledge of better techniques and better ways to help dogs and their people get where they want to be.
Training your dog is not a cookie-cutter thing. Each dog has their own personalities and respond differently to different techniques. My job is to teach you to communicate effectively with your dog to help you acheive the results you want.
I do offer remote training via Zoom. We can do private sessions this way, or you can join in on a group class via zoom if you need to miss a week.
Classes are small and I limit handlers to two per dog. If you (or your dog) are sick, you can attend class via Zoom.
